Ever since Velveteen Dream was nearly retired by Undisputed Era, he has been ready to break them next. He returned to the ring by ambushing the entire faction, before focusing on Roderick Strong in particular. He got a huge win a few weeks back, but Undisputed Era got the last laugh. This time they would be surrounded by a steel cage, and that would hopefully keep Undisputed Era away.
You Don’t Mess With Velveteen Dream
It would be a brutal cage match between the heated rivals. Dream made this feud very personal by involving Strongs wife & son. This made Strong want to simply hurt Dream, with victory being secondary. The mind games would give Dream the edge he needed, but he wouldn’t win. Two Dream Valley Drivers would put Strong down, and Undisputed Era would swarm. Dream proved to be a one man army in fighting them off, and would achieve his true goal at this time. He would hand the victory to Roderick Strong by throwing him out of the ring, only to lock NXT Champion Adam Cole in with him.
Is Dream Going To Be Our Next NXT Champion?
Dream would change his focus to that of NXT Champion Adam Cole. He beat respect into Strong, and has a new bigger goal. He would lay out Cole with a Dream Valley Driver before grabbing the NXT Championship and laying Cole out for good with it.
It has always been a matter of when, not if he will become NXT Champion himself. He had a chance in the past to become champion but failed to beat then champion Tomasso Ciampa.
He would get the approval of the NXT audience as he posed with it on top of the steel cage. This puts him as the next challenger for the title, with NXT Takeover Tampa being the location. Adam Cole has reigned long, and everyone is wondering who will finally beat him. Should Dream maintain his momentum, he will be unstoppable and finally achieve his own prophecy while killing the last remnant of Undisputed Eras iron grasp on the gold of NXT.
