It seems like there is something in the water on Monday Night RAW, especially surrounding The Monday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins. We recently saw Samoa Joe fall to a series of injuries during his involvement with Rollins, and now one half of the muscle of Rollins has been potentially injured. This is Rezar, one half of The Authors of Pain.
The Injury In Question For Rezar
During the latest 8 man tag main event of Monday Night RAW, we would see Rezar spend the last few minutes of the match with only one arm working properly. It is believed at this time that he suffered a torn bicep or something similar. Despite this, he finished the match and did the rest of his intended spots, and help with the win over The Street Profits & Viking Raiders.
Even a minor bicep tear would put Rezar out for about two months, with it more likely being around four to five months. This alongside the rumored vacation of Seth Rollins following Wrestlemania, puts this budding faction at risk of fading away after Wrestlemania.
Could Seth Rollins Recruit A New Partner For Akam?
While Authors of Pain were a package deal when Seth recruited them to back him up, it wouldn’t be too hard to find a brute to fill the role of Akam’s partner while Rezar recovers. We could even see Buddy Murphy take on that role, as he has had tag team championship success both recently with Seth Rollins and in the past with Wesley Black in NXT. Another possible option is The Big Show. While Show was involved in the fight against the Monday Night Messiah, he has often flip-flopped in feuds to the point where no one would really question this move.
Authors Of Pain Have Had Poor Luck Since Leaving NXT
This will be the latest major roadbump for Authors of Pain since their debut from NXT. First they lost their expert manager in Paul Ellering, only to be replaced by Drake Maverick who pissed his pants during a PPV match with Authors of Pain. Next Akam would be sidelined with a leg injury, and now Rezar potentially has a torn bicep. Hopefully this is the last of their bad luck, and once Rezar is healthy once again they will be able to get back on track.
Should Seth Rollins try to replace Rezar while he is injured? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
