Deonna Purrazzo has become one of the hottest free agents in the wrestling world once again, as the virtuosa herself was recently released from her WWE contract. She was unable to make much of an impact within WWE, mainly being used on Live Events & as an enhancement talent on brands like RAW & NXT.
This has many asking what her next move will be, as she would be a perfect fit in just about any company on the planet. We now have the thoughts from Deonna herself, who was asked about this in an interview with Gary Cassidy.
Could The Virtuosa Become All Elite?
While the AEW Women’s division is on hold at the moment due to the reduced roster from their recent tapings, it was trending in the right direction before COVID-19 struck. Their roster includes names like Nyla Rose, Bea Priestley, Hikaru Shida & Britt Baker. Baker in particular has been on the rise, and she could use someone to watch her back. This is where Purrazzo could fit in, as it is well documented that they are very good friends outside of the ring.
Getting hired due to being a close friend with a top star in the division is only an issue when the person is viewed as undeserving of their role, but Purrazzo has been working very hard for years to prove herself worthy of any roster. Her technical style would lead to some classics against powerhouses like Nyla Rose & Kris Statlander, as well as strikers like Hikaru Shida.
When asked about her next move, AEW was the first company mentioned with her stating the following “I haven’t been to AEW yet. Britt Baker’s my best friend. She works there. They have a kickass women’s division now. It’s a lot of people I’ve never worked with, and it’s a brand new product. So I would love to experience that and be a part of it.”
Deonna Purazzo To Make An Impact
You wouldn’t be able to blame any woman in wrestling for wanting to go to Impact Wrestling, where the current world champion is Tessa Blanchard. They have long been ahead of the curve when it comes to how they portray their women, and their current situation is no exception. Purazzo would only add to their deep roster, which includes people like Taya Valkyrie, Jordeyne Grace, Rosemary, Kylie Rae, and many more. Purrazzo has appeared for Impact Wrestling in the past, but never in a particularly large role.
Wherever Purrazzo finds a home in wrestling next, we can be assured she will once again be giving her all. Which company would you like to see the Virtuoso pop up in next? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
