For years, there was a few men who really made Wrestlemania feel like a huge deal with every match. One of them was The Undertaker, and the other was Mr. Wrestlemania, Shawn Michaels. While Michaels lost most of his matches at the event, they didn’t call him the showstopper for nothing. From his epic Iron Man match with Bret Hart, passing the torch to Steve Austin, his classic with Kurt Angle, retiring Ric Flair, and being retired by The Deadman while trying to end the streak, there are few men who have built up such a reputation at the event. Michaels is now long retired, and that name has yet to be claimed by anyone. Could it be claimed by one of the biggest modern stars, Seth Rollins?
Seth Rollins Has Been A Highlight In His Time At Wrestlemania
While he hasn’t had as many epic moments as Shawn Michaels yet, Seth Rollins has been building a major resume at the event. From the Curb Stomp countered into the RKO, cashing in on the main event of Roman vs. Brock and leaving as champion, winning the Intercontinental Championship, defeating the King Of Kings, and winning the Universal Championship from Brock last year, he has had a packed few years. He looks to deliver something special with Kevin Owens at Wrestlemania 36 as well.
A Fantastic Win Loss Record
One thing Rollins has over Michaels is a good win loss record at the event. At Wrestlemania, Seth Rollins has won six matches and only lost one. That came to Randy Orton, but that was the same night Seth ended the night as WWE Champion after cashing in Money in the Bank. That means that every time Rollins has been healthy for Wrestlemania, he has won a match on that night.
Grand Entrances
One of the things that make Wrestlemania so grand is the pageantry, and Rollins is someone who has been putting work into making big entrances for the event. From his Game of Thrones inspired gears as The Night King and Kingslayer, to the iconic image of him rushing to the ring at Wrestlemania 31 to cash in, Rollins has proved he knows how to make an impact before he even enters the ring, much like Michaels.
Do you think Seth Rollins will soon have a claim to the title of Mr. Wrestlemania? If not Rollins, than who should take this moniker in the modern era? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
