WWE Monday Night Raw rolls on. Backstage Ruby Riott is interviewed about how she used to lead the Riott Squad. Asked how the group became so divided. Ruby said there never really was a Riott Squad to her. The reason she had to get double shoulder surgery is because since she got there, she had to carry the both of them on their backs. She had to make them look good, had to make them look good. Now Sarah Logan’s got a broken arm. And Liv will be lucky if she doesn’t get the same tonight. Says Liv thinks she’s all grown up and independent. But she’ll show her how lonely and small and weak she really is. Good promo!
That then leads into the match…
Liv Morgan vs. Ruby Riott
Riott charges and plows through Liv, clobbering her against the mat. Liv fires up though, big kick, series of flying clotheslines, enziguri nailed! Charges, Ruby evades her in the corner but Liv turns this into a Springboard Kick for a nearfall! Wants a suplex, Ruby blocks it, Stungun! As Liv is hung upon the top rope, Riott gets her with a kick to the face that takes her to the canvas! Cover for a 2 count! Liv trying to fight back with back elbows, Ruby slams her face int othe mat. Takes her to the ropes, drives a few forearms into her chest. Hits the ropes, Morgan intercepts with a forearm! Morgan hits the ropes and Riott does the exact same thing, Liv tries to hold on as Riott charges again but this earns her a back kick straight to the face! Riott yells at Liv and hits the ropes but Morgan pursues – beautiful Springboard Flatliner! That is by far the best that has looked yet and it earns her the victory!
Winner: Liv Morgan
Very solid stuff and I love that finish. Liv legitimately has one of the coolest finishers in WWE at the moment, I’d protect that one if I were them.
Back in the gym, Bobby Lashley says he’s warmed up. Lana corrects him that he’s not warm, he’s hot! We then indeed see Lashley flip a giant tire as a demonstration of strength. He does it with relative ease. Says only a world class athlete could flip that tire, but what about THAT one? And the camera pans to a comically oversized monster truck tire. We’re getting a cliffhanger on this, I suppose.
