The best way to get fans wrestling content in the modern era is through the use of specialized streaming services. For Ring Of Honor, this is Honor Club which was launched in 2018, to a mixed response. This was due to a high price and lack of content from their storied history. They have announced their intent to fix many complaints with their service. Is Honor Club finally worth it?
The Entire Ring Of Honor Catalog Is Coming
Right now, there is a good amount of content available, with both modern and retro offerings from their backlog. The plan is to eventually have everything from their near twenty year history avaiable for streaming on the service. Considering their past talents include AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Samoa Joe, and more fan favorites, this alone will eventually make it worth it to many wrestling fans. They are getting all of 2010 posted up currently.
All PPV’s Will Be Included With The 9.99$ Entry Fee
Previously, while the monthly Honor Club subscription would get you access to special live events and discount on major PPVs. The 120$ annual package being the only way to ensure you get all shows like Final Battles, Death Before Dishonor, Best In The World and more. This has now changed. If you get the annual or monthly plan, you will get every PPV event that ROH holds. This always should have been the case, as the end price always ended up being the same.
Improved Navigation For Shows
Another feature of the new and improved HonorClub is the addition of match menus, which will allow users to skip to their favorite matches from the video player. This is a standard feature on services like WWE Network, and is a great way to improve a viewing experience. This is being put into play for all events back to 2016 to start, but the intent is to have this work across all events.
These updates are a great start, and for fans of Ring Of Honor, this is a no brainer now. Even with just these updates, it is looking bright. This is just another case of ROH building back up fan support after a rough 2019. Do these updates make Honor Club a potential get for you?
