AEW Dynamite rolls on. We get an ‘injury update’ from MJF, who cuts a promo from in front of his mansion. He talks about how the whole nation, really the whole world is going through a crisis. We’ve been going through a situation worse than anything that we could’ve ever imagined. Because after all… MJF has not been wrestling on Dynamite in weeks! He explains to the MJFFs – that’s the Maxwell Jacob Friedman Fans – that the reason for this is because during his last appearance on Dynamite, whilst he was gambling and throwing his massive amounts of money around, he suffered a career-threatening hangnail. Valiantly, he continued on gambling until the show was over anyway! But due to this, his injury became life-threatening. Even still, he will fight to get back because no matter what, he’s better than you. This was absolutely hilarious. He had a cast on his arm and of course one for his finger as well, dressed up to make a complete mockery of the whole thing. This transitions into Wardlow’s match with Lee Johnson.
Wardlow vs. Lee Johnson
Lock-up, Wardlow just tosses Lee to the canvas. The heels are chanting Wardlow’s name and sing “Wardlow’s Gonna Kill You”. Wardlow with a Military Press, Lee escapes behind him, dropkick no sold. Charges but Wardlow hoists him way up high, Military Press into a Powerslam! And a big release suplex sends him all across the ring! And then another one! Dayam! One of the heels begging for another. Lee escapes a third suplex attempt, charging forearms, european uppercuts! Wardlow ducks a shot and sends him barreling into the corner, shoulder charge! Takes him up, carries him across the ring and forces him up top! He pulls him from the top rope to a knee lift right to the face! Yikes! Drops the straps. Airplane Spin into the F-10! Cover for the easy victory!
Winner: Wardlow
Wardlow is a very promising young monster, makes for a great squash match guy! Could totally do with seeing a match like that every other week, let him build up a huge winning streak. Can’t quite go unbeaten sadly since he lost to Cody already but you can certainly still build a big force out of this guy. Being MJF’s heavy is a pretty nice spot for him as well.
