Jack Gallagher is a changed man on 205 Live. Far gone is the man who would leap from the top rope holding an umbrella. He is no longer Gentleman Jack, but more Jack The Ripper. A recent return showed him with new tattoos and a new attitude. He took out Lio Rush, and even during 205 Live vs. NXT, he would attack his teammates before being the last man on his team. He lost to KUSHIDA, and looks to get back on track when he faces a veteran talent in Tyler Breeze. Would this be the start of Gallagher’s road to the Cruiserweight Championship?
Jack Gallagher Is A Man Possessed
The match started off aggressively, as Gallagher and Breeze tied up and pushed each other around the ring. Gallagher would be dropped by a beautiful dropkick from Breeze, who has quickly realized he can’t coast through this match, and has turned up for this one. Gallagher broke free of a headlock, but Breeze wouldn’t give much room to breath and trapped him once again. The tables would turn, as Gallagher would trap Breeze and establish control, maintaining it when he caught Breeze in midair on his shoulders, before dumping him neck first on the top rope before going for some ground and pound.
Some very hard and precise strikes would punish Breeze, who would attempt to fight back but always be shut down. He would finally get some chance to breath after the stiffest enzuguri Breeze ever uncorked. Breeze would follow up with some big running forearms, but Gallagher would attempt to cut him off with a dropkick. After a quick evasion, Breeze rolled him up for a quick 2. A supermodel kick followed for another near fall.
Breeze made his way to the top rope, but Gallagher had this scouted, and pulled him arm first onto the top rope. This was his new target, as he ran the shoulder into the corner, then hit a nasty armbreaker before a Fujiwara Armbar. Breeze wouldn’t give up and crawled to the bottom rope with his leg forcing the break, but Gallagher used all the time he had before letting it go. A bit more back and forth would come as Breeze had his final chance, but with one good arm, it wouldn’t take much. A rolling elbow from Gallagher shut Breeze’s lights out, and got another win on his road to the Cruiserweight Championship.
Will Jack Gallagher be one of the next men to face NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin? Should he meet KUSHIDA in a number one contenders bout? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
