WWE NXT Results: Candice LeRae vs. Kacy Catanzaro

After always being the one to help out and be put to the sideline, Candice LeRae has had enough. She is done doing things the nice way, and instead is going to start taking what she wants when she wants it. This attitude change comes after helping her husband Johnny Gargano finally finish his multi-year feud with Tomassao Ciampa. With a new look and attitude, now taking the nickname Point Sized Poison, she would re-introduce herself to the NXT faithful as she faced off with Kacy Catanzaro. Kacy is far from a rookie, having competed in the Mae Young Classic and Royal Rumble, but was she a match for the new and more dangerous Candice LeRae?

    Candice LeRae Is Super Dangerous

They would start the match with a lockup, with LeRae pushing Catanzaro into the corner. Catanzaro would slip out, only to be defeated in a test of strength. She would slip out once again using her insane agility, and attempt a rear waist lock before rolling Candice out and hitting a headscissors. LeRae would fight back with a snapmare into a nasty neck snap, which sent Catanzaro fleeing to the apron. A shoulder to the stomach and a smart trip of the leg would drop LeRae, with Catanzaro hitting a smooth flipping senton over the top rope. LeRae would be dropped again with a Drop Toe Hold, before Catanzaro went for a splash only to find two knees instead of LeRaes stomach.

Now having the torso as a target, LeRae would hit a side slam before locking in a chin lock. Catanzaro would get back to her feet but would be slammed into the mat by her hair. LeRae would be vicious as she isolated Catanzaro, and slamming her back into the mat face first. Getting distracted by her husband at ringside, LeRae would lock in a lazy Gargano Escape, only to be rolled up into a near fall.

A vicious back elbow would shut Catanzaro again, who would be hit with a furious combo of strikes in the corner, using every second of the referees five count. Back in the middle of the ring, LeRae would stand in the knees of Catanzaro, pull her up by her hair and then stomp her face first into the ring for the win. She calls this new finisher ‘Wicked Step Sister’ and it was the signature move of Pro Wrestling Guerilla legend Super Dragon.

Are We Looking At A Future Champion?

Following the win, Candice would re-enter the ring and apply the Gargano Escape, adding some extra punishment after the match was over. This new more vicious Candice LeRae showed that while she is still vulnerable and beatable, she is the tough badass fans knew from Pro Wrestling Guerilla. She has already been tough to beat in NXT, and that will only be harder now that her darkside is here. Do you think this new version of Candice LeRae will bring her more success? Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
