WWE Money In The Bank 2020 rolls on. We now have a match that exists for reasons, R-Truth taking on MVP. Truth comes out and does another new spin on his song, before enthusiastically calling for a reaction from the non-existent crowd. He seems happy with the response. MVP comes out and asks him what the hell he’s doing. Says he won’t teach him about ballin’, he taught the whole WWE Universe about ballin’! Truth steals the ballin’ taunt and says that’s three points! MVP says if he doesn’t get his fake young thung wannabe off-set future ass out of here… but then suddenly out comes Bobby Lashley?
Lashley enters the ring and takes the microphone, tells MVP he’ll handle this one and MVP can take the night off. Oh holy crap! THE BEATDOWN CLAN HAS REUNITED! It actually took me a moment there to remember the name of that group but it made me unreasonably happy to make that connection. R-Truth tries to explain he’s not here to fight him or something and, accidentally slaps him? Lashley is not happy about that. As Truth is trying to get his shirt off, Lashley jumps him.
Bobby Lashley vs. R-Truth
Lashley takes R-Truth into the corner and drives him repeatedly into the corner. Biiiig biel throw. Lashley stalking already, thought he was gonna go right to the spear there. Charges in the corner, Truth with the boots up. Truth rushes in and gets taken right down with the Spinebuster! Lashley wants a Military Press, Truth escapes, kick to the gut, tries for the Scissors Kick but Lashley avoids it and just runs right through him with a Spear, that is for sure that!
Winner: Bobby Lashley
Interesting turn of events. Sure not what I expected. Of all things, the Beatdown Clan seems to be a thing again! Or atleast it’s acknowledged that Lashley and MVP have a relationship. Seems like the point of this in theory would be to establish an alliance going forward. So yeah maybe MVP will have a version of that group, with Lashley, Shane Thorne and Brendan Vink? I’ve heard of worse ideas.
Anyway the important thing is that I picked MVP to win, and Lashley took his spot and won, so I’m counting this one as a successful prediction for me~
