Another episode of AEW Dynamite is on again here this evening, and it’s the go-home show to AEW Double Or Nothing! Days away from a big time title defense against Brodie Lee himself, Jon Moxley will square off with the Dark Order’s newest acquisition, Preston Vance aka 10! You can expect the same kind of live coverage tonight as always, including previews of everything announced in advance! And as usual with Dynamite that accounts for a lot, so let’s get started!
AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. 10 (Non-title)
This one seemed inevitable. 10 was there and aiding in the beatdown when Brodie Lee made off with Jon Moxley’s AEW World Championship a couple of weeks ago. Moxley actually hasn’t been doing the gauntlet thanks to how young this feud is, but that may be for the best. As he himself has lampshaded in promos on the Road To series, Moxley just went through this, battling through every single member of the Inner Circle. So it’s good that they aren’t going the exact same route with Mr. Brodie Lee and the Dark Order. Though I must say I’d kinda like to see Mox have a scrap with Stu Grayson… just seems like a good stylistic fit there.
That said, this should be quite the bout all on it’s own. While I’ve only seen 10 compete a handful of times on recent episodes of AEW Dark, that’s enough to know that he’s a very powerful, athletic fighter. He may well surprise the champion with what he brings this evening, as he will no doubt be doing everything he can to soften Moxley up ahead of Double or Nothing. Nevermind the fact that Brodie himself will likely be watching on, and potentially the rest of the Dark Order’s numbers could be seen as well, and Moxley might have a long night on his hands.
How much they see in 10 is hard to figure, although generally you’ll want to put a hopeful star of the future in these groups for the slow build and he seems to fit the bill so far. But of course, none of this to say he’ll be defeating Mox here tonight, far from that. This will serve as his last big bit of momentum before the big PPV and he will no doubt be getting his hand raised. Jon Moxley over.
