We truly have a fighting champion as our current WWE Champion. Already having defended his championship twice from WWE, Drew McIntyre is ready to fight anyone at a moments notice. This past week on Monday Night RAW, he was on his way to announce that he was to face Baron Corbin next week, and would decide to kick the asses of Andrade, Austin Theory and Angel Garza. However, he has been ducking one challenger who has called him out on social media. It is someone who previously faced Braun Strowman in Saudi Arabia, the heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.
Will Tyson Fury Be Back In WWE Soon?
After having a handful of appearances, something just feels right about a character as loud as The Gypsy King being in WWE. He might not have the in-ring skills that are typical on the roster, but sometimes charisma is the most important aspect. One of the few celebrities who have continued to express interest in WWE after their big payday, him calling out the WWE Champion is a sign of great things to come. We very well could see this huge match come at the first post-pandemic WWE event, be that Summerslam or Survivor Series later this year. Another option for this match would be the next Saudi Arabia supershow.
Drew McIntyre & Tyson Fury Exchange Words On Twitter
He would say the following in a video that was shared by WWE On BT Sport, the UK based WWE account. “Shout out Drew McIntyre! He’s been calling me out, he doesn’t want to catch a left hook! He’s 6”6 but he’s chiseled! I want to fight him but he’s got a good body!” McIntyre would respond to this with “Always nice hearing from my biggest fan, Tyson Fury! Maybe I’ll join you on Instagram for a workout, give you some tips and then one day we can talk business!” With both parties seemingly interested in this match, and Fury bringing lots of extra attention to WWE, it is a very smart move to go ahead with this match.
Will Drew McInytre be able to take the champion level boxer to Claymore Country, or would that encounter lead to the end of his reign as WWE Champion? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
