A few weeks back on an episode of Monday Night RAW, Jinder Mahal would make his return to WWE from injury. In his return match, he would demolish Akira Tozawa in dominant fashion. Now, this week on WWE Main Event, Tozawa gets a chance to avenge both this loss, and his loss of the Interium Cruiserweight Championship tournament. Would he be able to overcome a former WWE Champion?
A Battle Of Speed vs. Power
This match would start off on a bad foot for Tozawa, who would be slammed into the mat within seconds of this match beginning by Mahal. Mahal would pick his opponent up and attempt another slam, only for Tozawa to slip out and send some hard kicks to the leg of Mahal. Tozawa would be pushed away, and go for a crossbody only to be caught. When Mahal would try to toss him overhead, Tozawa would land on his feet once again and dodge a lariat attempt before again attacking the leg. Again being shoved off into the ropes, Tozawa would slip through the legs of Mahal and hit a Cyclone Kick to the head, dazing his opponent.
Looking to take down his dazed opponent, Tozawa would hit the ropes but meet a big boot on his way back, turning him inside out. Mahal would have the win at that point, but look to make an example of his opponent, raining down punches before dropping a huge running knee across the chest. Finally going for a two, Tozawa would be able to kick out, but would find himself trapped in a modifed camel clutch. Further punishment would come as he choked Tozawa on the ropes, before using the ropes to deliver more knee drops. A punch to the gut would only annoy Mahal, who would quickly lock Tozawa in a tight side headlock.
Jinder Mahal Is Undefeated Since Returning To WWE
A vertical suplex and some knees to the back was the prelude to Mahal looking for the Khallas, but Tozawa would fight through. The situation seemed hopeless until Tozawa would hit a hurricarana to get some space. A shining wizard would drop Mahal, and Tozawa went to the top for a missle dropkick for a near fall. He would foolishly try to lift Mahal, and would be thrown into the corner before being hit with the Khallas. Mahal wins once again.
While Bobby Lashley is next to face WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal is not far behind at the rate he is going. While his victories have been small, and mostly coming from Main Event, he is undefeated. He will soon move onto bigger names, and before you know it, he will find himself as #1 contender.
