AEW Dynamite continues. Sammy Guevara sings Chris Jericho to the ring for his match with Colt Cabana!
Chris Jericho vs. Colt Cabana
Jericho batters Colt into the corner to start with. Keeps coming up at him with rights and lefts. Cabana comes out of the corner with a big heymaker! Dumps him from the ring! Goes out there and chops him across the floor… Jake Hager is there to stare him down. Colt ducks a Jericho clothesline and hits an Asai Moonsault that ends up taking out Jericho and Hager both! Colt slams Jericho’s head into the timekeeper’s table, takes him into the ring! Cabana is entering the ring, Hager sneaks up and attacks him in such a way that he goes through the ropes and falls to the floor in a wild fashion! Commercial break as Jericho is celebrating already!
After the break, Jericho is still pounding on Colt, whips him to the ropes and clotheslines him for a 2 count! Jericho tries for a bulldog but Cabana counters, throwing him into the corner and he crotches himself on the buckles! Cabana pulls him out, series of chops, ducks a clothesline… couple of jabs, Flip Flop and Fly! Charges, nails the Flying Apple! Trips him, goes to the second rope, Frog Splash for a cloooose nearfall! Colt with a couple of shots, hits the ropes, Jericho with a back elbow, tries for the Lionsault but Cabana evades it, hits a Bionic Elbow and tries for the Superman Pin but Jericho reverses it into the Walls Of Jericho! Sits down on the lower back! Colt grabs the ropes and as always, Chris assumes he got the submission.
Chris argues with Aubrey for a moment, charges but eats a back elbow from Cabana, headscissors take him down! Clothesline in the corner, he takes him up top, Avalanche Frankensteiner for a nearfall! Rolls him up for another 2 count! Knife edge chop, sent to the corner, Cabana wants to kick off the buckle but he turns around directly into the Judas Effect for the win!
Winner: Chris Jericho
Afterwards he gets on the mic and tells everyone to shut their ass, says that’s just a sample of what Mike Tyson will get. Says Tyson vs. Jericho, he’s ready. He can taste the blood of Colt Cabana on his fist and he wants to taste the same from Mike Tyson. He doesn’t want to wait for next week, next PPV, next Christmas, he wants him right here, right now! He’s calling out the Baddest Man On The Planet! Says he wants him to come out here right now. Repeatedly calls him Baddest Man has he continually demands he comes out.
Finally, out comes… Orange Cassidy! He comes to the ring and Jericho just lets him force his hands into his belt loops! Hager tries for a clothesline, as does Jericho but Cassidy ducks them both and escapes to the floor, the Best Friends bring him over the guardrail and he poses triumphantly for his standards!
