It was only a matter of time before someone pointed out by the #SpeakingOut movement would be removed from WWE. Many were accused of sexual assault, including Jack Gallagher who has now been released from his WWE contract. The news was made official by WWE.com.
Jack Gallagher Was Accused Of Making Unwanted And Aggressive Sexual Advances In 2014
As told by Twitter user @JayneBykboo, on New Years Eve in 2014, she was at a party with Gallagher. They have since locked their account, but the situation was as followed. He would do everything possible to get her drunk, pouring extra alchohol into her cup, and even if she made her own drinks, he’d add more to her cup if it was put down. Gallagher would ask her to sit on his lap, which she denied before he’d sit on hers and make advances. She would express she was uncomfortable, but didn’t want to make a scene, something she admits in hindsight was a mistake. Things would reach their climax when she went to the bathroom, and Gallagher would burst into the bathroom and tried to pull her skirt off. She would push him away, and promptly leave the party.
This is a truly disgusting display, and given his release, there is little reason to doubt it’s truth. WWE wouldn’t have released him if the evidence didn’t add up. This is attempted rape, through and through. Simple as that.
Gallagher Was Making Waves In The Cruiserweight Division
His final run within WWE saw Gallagher come back with a new look and attitude, going 1-2 in the Interim Cruiserweight Championship tournament before starting a partnership with fellow 205 Live Original Tony Nese, with them both walking out on their partner of Tehuti Miles during a six man tag match on this past weeks episode of 205 Live.
Gallagher had been with the company since the Cruiserweight Classic, after qualifying in a match against Pete Dunne in Progress Wrestling. He had long been a fan favorite, even during his stints as a vicious heel alongside Brian Kendrick. He had an appearence in the Royal Rumble, which was his biggest showing.
Given the severity of the claims against Gallagher, it is unlikely Gallagher will have an easy job finding a job in the wrestling industry anytime soon. He has history with MMA, and could make a return to the octogon. Do you think any company will work with him right now? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
