With so much going on in Impact at the moment with new contract signings and the growth of the Knockouts Division, it’s raised some questions about what the creative team at Impact Wrestling is planning. With Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary already a kinda-team and sometimes friends, it stands to reason that there’s a potential Knockouts Tag Team Championship on the horizon.
It’s a possibility
At the moment, this is pure speculation on our part, but the pieces seem to be being put into place to expand the Knockouts Division. The signings have added skill and depth, and have made Impact’s Knockout division potentially one of the best in professional wrestling.

The question is now what do they do with so many female wrestlers?
A tag team division may be the answer, and it’s not as strange as it may sound.
When we hear of a women’s tag team division, most of us look at the WWE and the whole two maybe three teams they have. Considering their tag teams championship is only a little over a year old, we were expecting so much more.
But Impact is known for doing things other promotions wouldn’t dream of. Tessa Blanchard being the Impact World Champion, anyone?
So, along those lines of thinking, is a tag team division really out of the realm of possibility?
Consider many of the knockouts have a history in a tag team throughout the Indies. Navaeh and Madison Rayne had won a tag team championship previously, so that lends credence to this idea, and why she may be teaming with Havok.
There’s a history
One thing Rayne has tried to avoid except for a few non-committal remarks here and there is her history with Navaeh. She did say that Havoc knew her previously, and since Navaeh only appeared during Havok’s matches, it seemed something was up.
Now that they’ve joined forces, as evidenced in Navaeh coming to Havok’s aid with Kimber Lee, the stage is set for something special with these two.
With Havok recently losing to Rosemary in a Full Metal Mayhem match Rebellion (Valkyrie backed out of thanks to the coronavirus quarantine), there’s already the possibility of a feud.
With things slowly getting back to normal, Valkyrie will be able to rejoin Rosemary and things could be off and running before we realize what’s going on.
It’d be a cool new chapter in Impact for the Knockouts division, and it’d allow their female stars to shine as they’ve shown a penchant for getting as nasty and gritty as the men. We’re willing to bet they’d put on some of the best matches we’ve seen in a while, and it could be a really awesome ride.
It’s what helps Impact stand apart from the larger promotions like the WWE. They don’t mind taking chances, and their matches feel like old school wrestling with the newest styles because they sell it so well. They look like they’re beating the crap out of each other, and to be honest, they really could be. With so many working in Japan, there’s little doubt they probably picked up some habits from the Japanese Strong style.
Even if they don’t create a tag team division, it should be fun to watch. The Impact Knockouts division is stacked.
