NXT Takeover: In Your House is very quickly approaching. This coming Sunday will be the latest NXT supercard, and it is stacked from top to bottom. Matches like Adam Cole vs. Velveteen Dream, Johnny Gargano vs. Keith Lee, Charlotte Flair vs. Io Shirai vs. Rhea Ripley and more will be sure to give fans a night to remember. However, the most interesting match on the card might by Karrion Kross vs. Tommaso Ciampa. We have only seen Kross in short matches against enhancement talent, making this his first major match in NXT. It will be a way to prove that he is more than a flashy entrance, and Ciampa will not go down without a fight. However, Ciampa is looking forward to more than just this match at the event, he’s looking forward to hopefully seeing a special set for this show.
Tommaso Ciampa Teases Iconic Set Returning
When looking back at the In Your House PPVs, one that that stands out is the set used for the entrance ramp. Anyone who was a fan in the 90’s knows and loves this set, but it has been decades since we’ve seen it. With this NXT Takeover playing off the legacy of these old shows, will the set be there? Ciampa says that fans should get their hopes up about this.
While speaking with Inside The Ropes, he had the following to say. “I think it is fair to get your hopes up. I’ve got my hopes up. it’s the first question I asked if I’m honest with you. The one thing I’m hoping for on top of that is to see a Todd Pettengill sighting at some point. I don’t know on that one, I’m just keeping my fingers crossed. I’ve heard promising things on the set. I don’t know if that means the old set or a renewed version of it. I know that everybody understands how excited the fanbase is for In Your House. It’s one of those weird ones right? It just stuck with all of us. Yeah, I think everyone’s gonna be happy with what’s been produced.”
It is impossible to please everyone, even if they just brought the old set from the WWE Warehouse, but it will be nice to have something fresh set wise for this PPV. Do you think this will be a one-off due to the nature of the event, or should fans start to expect unique PPV sets going forward, with Backlash being next?
