On the latest episode of Smackdown, we would see the reign of BlissCross end at 62 days and three successful defenses. They would lose to Sasha Banks & Bayley, who are now two time WWE Tag Team Champions. This has fans wondering what is next for Nikki Cross & Alexa Bliss? Will this be enough to have them break up?
Alexa Bliss Could Be Needed As A Singles Star On Smackdown
Being one of the most prolific women’s performer of the modern generation, it is baffling to some that Alexa Bliss is currently in a tag team. While her & Nikki Cross have proven to be one of the best women’s tag teams in WWE, there will come a time when she will get another big singles push. Having won the fans over as a face, and improved in the ring as of late, a face run from her just feels right against someone like Bayley, the current Smackdown Women’s Champion.
A Few More Reigns In The Tank
On the other hand, the Women’s Tag Division needs all the teams they can get right now. WWE has recently broken up teams like Team Kick & Fire and Desire, and with Asuka moving back to a singles role on Monday Night RAW. Due to this, you can’t see WWE wanting to break up arguably one of their most popular teams in the division. Alongside The Iconics, they are one of the few teams with actual chemistry, with people viewing them as one of the teams who could build a legacy that will last. We can easily see BlissCross win at least two or three more titles before they can eventually break up.
What Will Happen With The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles For Backlash?
With no match set for Bayley’s Smackdown Women’s Championship at Backlash, we can reasonably assume that she will defend the titles alongside Sasha Banks instead. The Iconics have been gunning for the titles since their return, and have chimed in on the news of this title change with joy. Will we see The Iconics end the reign of the Boss N’ Hug Connection once again? Would Bliss be better off without Cross going forward? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
