Since returning to WWE NXT, Finn Balor has been on fire. He’s had some of the best matches of his career against the likes of Matt Riddle & Johnny Gargano, and has his eyes set on the NXT UK Championship held by WALTER. That feud was placed on hold due to travel restrictions, and he will face Damien Priest at NXT Takeover: In Your House, another match certain to be incredible. With him doing so good on the brand, will we ever see him join RAW & Smackdown again?
Finn Balor Could Become A Pillar Of The NXT Brand
Having once been the longest reigning champion in the history of the NXT Championship, it is not hard to say that Balor is one of the most important names in NXT. He was brought in as a huge signing, and he was NXT during his first run there. Now with his eyes set on elevating NXT UK, he could become a pillar of that brand as well. If he is to become NXT UK Champion, that would make him the first man to hold both titles, as Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne & WALTER have yet to even get a chance at the NXT Championship.
If NXT is to last as a brand, it needs stars. While younger talent comes and goes, like Matt Riddle who is on his way from NXT to Smackdown Live, people like Finn Balor & Tyler Breeze can remain steady on the brand. Names like Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa have stated they never intend to leave NXT either, and those are some solid foundations for NXT. Even if we do see NXT Japan happen, Balor could be sent over there to great success as well given his experiences in NJPW.
RAW & Smackdown Don’t Need Balor
While he would become Universal & Intercontinental Champion during his time on Monday Night RAW, he was not viewed as a top star after his first month. Getting injured in his first big match likely hurt his image backstage, and while he was always dependable in the ring, he’s always been better off in NXT.
Do you think Finn Balor will ever return to Monday Night RAW? Should he stay in NXT for the rest of his time in WWE? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
