WWE Raw Tag Team Championship – Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montel Ford) (c) The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar)
The match started hard and heavy as Angelo Dawkins and Ivar matched up, and the Viking Warriors nearly had an early pin after Erik used Ivar as a battering ram on Angelo, but Angelo kicked out.
Not long after outside the ring, Montez Ford tried a hurricane over the top rope on Erik, but Erik caught him and powerbombed him into Dawkins.
Back from a commercial break, Ivar had Ford at a disadvantage in the ring as the Viking Warriors had cut the ring in half.
A desperation tag brought Dawkins in, and he quickly cleared the rind and tagged Ford back in. They hit the Viking Experience on Erik, but the pin was saved by Ivar.
Once he was the legal man, Ivar showed his athleticism before both men tagged out and a series of cartwheels followed. With the Street Profits stacked into Erik’s arms, he slammed/powerbombed them.
After hitting a cash out and Ford hitting From the Heavens, Ford pinned Erik. This marked the first time the Street Profits beat the Viking Raiders in an actual tag team match. After hugging things out, the Viking Raiders left, and Andrade and Angel Garza ran into he ring with Zelina Vega leading the way.
They attacked the Street Profits, but ran when the Viking Raiders came back, signaling they want the tag belts.
This is a pretty cool change of pace from chasing singles championships and will help Vega reunite her team toward one goal. With the addition of Ziggler and Roode to the roster, it looks like the tag team division has evened out.
Rollins plots a sacrifice
Backstage, Seth Rollins is gathered with his group and mentions he has a message for Rey Mysterio. Could it be he has Dominic Mysterio locked up somewhere?
After a recap of Rollins and Mysterio’s interactions the last few weeks, Rollins is backstage and gives a speech about how neither of them chose their roles, but were destined for them. He pointed out the difference is Rollins accepted his role while Rey has been defiant, and defiance breeds suffering.
He then went on to say that Rey allowed his son to become involved in the situation, and that everything that would happen to Rey or his sone going forward is completely on him.
“Legends never die, but they sure as hell outlive their wealth.”
Of course, Rollins’ hands will be clean, and this is as eerie as it is promising and hints that something is planned for when Rey makes his appearance. This is looking better by the minute.
