Two weeks ago, we would see a hectic triple threat tag team match to decide would would have the first shot at Imperium for the NXT Tag Team Championships. This would be won by the returning Breezango, with them being Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch as well as Undisputed Era when they’d pin Bobby Fish. Neither Tyler Breeze or Fandango have ever won a title within WWE, will this change on this night?
Imperium Started Off Pissed
The mind games started early with Breezango, as they mocked the entrance of Imperium, taking the name Emporium before stripping out of their tracksuits upon reaching the ring. Given how Imperium views the ring as a sacred place, this disrespect would have them fired up to start this night.
They would rush in as the bell rang with the match starting as Marcel Barthel would take the fight to Breeze after sending Fandango to the mat. A blind tag would allow Aichner to make his way into the match, and the isolation of Breeze would become hard to break, but once he found the smallest of openings, a crossbody would take both men to the outside. However, Breeze would be thrown face first into the plexiglass after a double team from Imperium and any control he had was gone.
Fandango Changes The Pace
Submissions from Bartel would look to grind down the body and will of Breeze, but he doesn’t give up easy. He would counter out of a backdrop, and send Barthel over the top rope and tag in Fandango. Aichner would look to match him, but Fandango would quickly take control with a powerslam to Aichner, before running up Barthel to hit a tornado DDT. He’d finish the comeback by flipping over the top rope and wiping both men out as we went to commercial break.
Breezango would maintain their control during the commercial break, before Breeze would be caught in the corner. Barthel would throw Breeze into Aichner, who caught him in Suplex position and hit a vertical drop brainbuster, getting a near fall with Fandango breaking things up. Barthel would look to punish Breeze some more, but a step up enzuguri would drop him and allow a tag to Fandango. Some tag team work would follow, as Fandango dove over the top rope for an elbow drop as Barthel would be drapped over the knees of Breeze.
A quick kick to the face would stun Fandango, would would narrowly avoid the European Bomb thanks to Breeze. Aichner would hit a supermodel kick, and Fandango hit the Last Dance leg drop, with Barthel having the break up the pin.
Chaos At Ringside
Indus Sher would make their way to ringside, looking to ruin this match. Lorcan & Burch helped to stop them, and Breeze would be knocked into the shuffle. Fandango would look to steal the win, but would roll up the wrong man, allowing Aichner to hit a DDT for the win.
This match shows how the NXT Tag Team Division is looking, with Indus Sher, Lorcan & Burch, Breezango, Undisputed Era and more looking forward to getting future shots. Who do you think will be next to face Imperium? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
