It is not easy being Aliyah. She has been in NXT for years now, and has never sniffed success. Having the looks, charisma and the passion to succeed, she has failed consistently failed to get success in the ring. Robert Stone showed interest in her as a client, but her losses have not done much to help her case. She faces Santana Garrett tonight, will she finally get a win?
Aliyah Drops The Ball Again
Garrett would go behind quick in the match, but Aliyah would just as quickly gain control and hit a smooth neckbreaker. A vicious ground and pound would follow, as a disheveled Robert Stone would come down to ringside, likely still dealing with the effects of being fired by Chelsea Green last week after her win alongside Charlotte Flair. Aliyah would notice him as she would throw Garrett across the ring, following up with a step-up kick in the corner for a near fall. Staying on the offensive, she would grind down Garrett with a submission in the middle of the ring. Garrett would get to her feet and drive her into the corner. A slap would simply piss Garrett off, but Aliyah would make her way to the top rope at this time. Garrett would give a slap of her own, and hit a head scissors takedown reminiscent of WWE Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus. A back handspring moonsault get her the win.
Robert Stone Lost More Faith A Potential Client
Crumbling before our eyes, Stone would slowly step away from the ring looking worse than when he came down to the ring in the first place. First he lost his only client, the woman he built his brand around. He had his eyes on Aliyah as a backup, but she just lost her 10th singles match in a row. Is this the woman who can help rebuild the brand? Stone doesn’t seem to think so. However, Santana Garrett looked fantastic in this match. She also doesn’t have the greatest win-loss record, this was her first televised victory within WWE. However, she is a lot more appealing than Aliyah at this moment.
