WWE NXT Results: Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart

The last time Sasha Banks & Bayley were WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, they promised to come back to NXT to defend the titles. At the time, everyone was eager to see them clash with teams like the Sky Pirates (Kairi Sane & Io Shirai) and more. However, they wouldn’t get a chance to make more than one apperence in NXT during that reign. Now, over a year later, they finally have a chance to make good on their original promise as they face the new team of Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart. Will NXT claim ownership of these titles and boost their value with their higher number of teams?

Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart Show Their Chemistry

Tegan Nox would lock up with Sasha Banks to start this match, with The Boss getting the better of her. The more veteran Banks would be dropped by Nox, before Blackheart would come in and go for an Oklahoma Rol for a near fall. Bayley would tag in, and Blackheart would hold her own against the Smackdown Women’s Champion, nearly stealing a win with the small package. After another roll up attempt, a knee to the head would give Bayley control.

This control would continue past the commerical break, this time with Tegan Nox in the ring. Bayley would drive shoulders into the mid-section of Nox before mocking the NXT universe as she does an old taunt from her hugger days. Nox would tag in Blackheart, and Bayley would tag in Banks, with Blackheart gaining control off a backdrop. Banks would slip to the outside, and while Blackheart followed, she’d be hit with the Metora to the ground. Banks & Bayley would use their chemistry to try to put Blackheart away, but Banks would end up missing with the double knees, in the corner. Blackheart would take control of Bayley, and tag in Nox, who would Chokeslam Banks into her partner on the outside.

Bayley Bends The Rules Once Again

Nox would assist Blackheart to the top rope, who came down with a crossbody. Back in the ring, Nox & Blackheart would work together to hit an assisted Sliced Bread, with Banks having the break up the pin. Banks would tag back in, but again would end up on the defensive as she’d end up on the shoulders of Nox and be hit with a dropkick from Blackheart. She’d survive the Doomsday Device, and lock in the Banks Statement. Blackheart would counter into Cattle Mutalation, but Bayley coming into the ring with a chair would distract Nox & the referee, and would break the submission, pushing Banks back in the position for her own submission. Blackheart would tap out, and Sasha earned another defense.

Io Shirai Cleans House Of Invaders

While Banks & Bayley bragged in the ring, the NXT Women’s Champion would make herself known as she took out both of the tag team championships. She showed that NXT is hers now, and almost challenged either of them to face her. She already sent Charlotte Flair packing from her division, and she won’t let any other horsewomen think they have any right to be in her ring without dealing with her.

Do you think Io Shirai will face the Smackdown Women’s Champion soon? Will Sasha try to reclaim the title she had the best history with? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
