This week we’re back to just Dynamite, not Fyter Fest or Fight For The Fallen. We’re back to a smaller scale on the card, but we’re still in for an incredible night of action. Let’s take a look at what was announced ahead of time.
Cody Rhodes Holds Another Open Challenge
After beating Sonny Kiss last week at Fight For The Fallen, it’s onto the next TNT title defense for Cody Rhodes. However, we don’t know who he’s facing this week. The last time this was the case, Ricky Starks made his debut.
This is set to hold true once again, as they have hyped up a top indy name making an appearance. The first name that came to mind for me is Chris Hero, who was last in NXT as Kassius Ohno before his release. Another name that could work is Jeff Cobb, who was in AEW previously. He’s not a legend like Hero, but is well on his way. Plus, there’s always Warhorse, who has been campaigning for a title shot on Twitter, and is the reigning Independent Wrestling Champion.
Young Bucks vs. Butcher & The Blade: Falls Count Anywhere!
Two weeks ago at Fyter Fest, The Butcher, The Blade, and The Lucha Bros would defeat Young Bucks & FTR. Last week, FTR got their revenge on the Lucha Bros, but Young Bucks want their pound of flesh. That is exactly what they will get, as they meet Butcher & The Blade in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
Daily’s Place is going to become a war zone when these two teams clash, as they are likely to go everywhere in the building. There will be no tags, there will be weapons, and there will be one team standing tall.
Chris Jericho & Jake Hager Face Jurassic Express
After roasting them on commentary last week during their trios match against The Elite, Chris Jericho & Jake Hager will go up against Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus. This will be the next step in a slow burning feud between Jericho & Jungle Boy, which started in late 2019, when Jungle Boy lasted 10 minutes against ‘Le Champion. It’s going to be a highly contested tag team contest, and don’t sleep on Hager & Luchasarus clashing during it.
Also announced as Diamante vs. Ivelisse, Hangman Page vs. V Five of The Dark Order, MJF back in action, and Jon Moxley will be taking to the microphone.
