Two teams consisiting of polar opposites will clash this week at Fyter Fest, in what resembles an old Survivor Series style elimination match. However this is one fall to a finish, as longtime Twitter rivals FTR & The Young Bucks take on The Butcher, The Blade, and The Lucha Bros. It is sure to be pure chaos, there will be fighting within teams, and the tag rope might as well not exist, but boy is this going to be a fun one.
The Butcher, The Blade & The Lucha Bros would make their way to the ring in FTR’s truck, the unofficial prize of this match.
Tag Team Chaos From The Start
The big story in this match is: will FTR & The Young Bucks co-exist? The short answer? Shockingly yes. Action would start with Nick Jackson & Pentagon Jr, but Dax Harwood would be tagged in before they’d even make contact. Harwood would lock in a hammerlock, and Pentagon would slip out and slap the taste out of his mouth. They’d trade shots, and Harwood would get the better of Pentagon, and the isolation would begin. Tags between FTR would end when Fenix came in and ran circles around them, only for him to be shut down with a huge lariat, followed by a pop up powerslam.
Matt Jackson would tag himself in, and FTR would work with them. Fenix would tag in The Blade, and Young Bucks would hit some signature tag team offense, a backbreaker into a flipping neckbreaker over the knee. Fenix & Butcher would be taken out with double dropkicks, but Butcher & The Blade would show their power advantage shortly after.
Pentagon Jr. would take control, and let Butcher plant Nick into the mat for a near fall. Fenix would get into the match but Nick would take him out with a top rope hurricarana before tagging out.
FTR & Young Bucks Work Together Perfectly
Cash & Nick would work together to bring the pain as we went into the commercial break, as a dragon suplex would be launched by a superkick. They’d lose this control through the commercial break, as Cash would be isolated and beat down by all four opponents. Matt would be the only man to tag, and he’d dive to take out both Lucha Bros, doing a classic hot tag, capped off with a dive to the outside on Butcher & The Blade followed by an elbow drop to Fenix.
Blade would be tagged in, but Harwood would tag in to help Matt, dropping Blade with a quick DDT before working together to take out Butcher. Fenix would fly in to take them out, but be hit with Goodnight Express moments later from Cash & Nick. An assisted piledriver from Harwood & Nick would nearly get the win, but Pentagon pulled Harwood out of the pin, only to be thrown into the corner. A double superplex into double splash would flatten Blade, but Fenix would save the match this time, diving in to break the pin.
A Miscommunication Leads To Defeat
Young Bucks & Lucha Bros would clash briefly, before hitting a Canadian Destroyer to the outside, taking out the field of the match. A miscommunication would see Matt superkick Harwood, and then be hit with an assisted piledriver, with Pentagon getting the pinfall.
This match was hard to follow, but incredibly fun from start to finish. It furthers the storyline between FTR & Young Bucks, while shooting Butcher & The Blade as well as the Lucha Bros into the tag team rankings. Do you think FTR & Young Bucks will get revenge?
