Impact Wrestling Recap (7/14) - 10 Knockout Tag Match - Kylie Rae, Susie, Alisha Edwards, Havok and Nevaeh defeated Taya Valkyrie, Rosemary, Kimber Lee, Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz

Impact Wrestling is clicking heading into their Slammiversary pay=per-view. With a Knockout gauntlet match planned for Slammiversary to determine the number one contender to face Jordynne Grace for the Knockouts Championship, this was a perfect way to set the stage as we got to see ten Knockouts in the same ring.

Tasha Steelz and Nevaeh started it off and Nevaeh quickly gained the upper hand with a spear and tagged in Havok. Havok lived up to her name as she took out each member of the other team in what started off as utter chaos.

    Group effort

Outside the ring, Nevaeh was beaten down by the opposition, so Susie called out, “That’s Bad!” and jumped over the ropes on top of everyone. Alisha Edwards wanted Havok to throw her out of the ring and onto everyone Susie just took out, and after a second’s deliberation, Havok obliged her, wiping out everyone outside the ring a second time.

Kylie Rae was the only one left on the apron and she begged Havok to tag her in. When Havok did, Rae hit the ropes to do her own suicide dive, but Taya Valkyrie intercepted her and the match settled down to an actual tag team match.

Valkyrie kept the pressure on, and Rosemary locked in her Upside Down on Rae in their corner.

Rae absorbed a lot of punishment as Tasha Steelz takes over after Rae kicked out of a pin attempt. Rae tried to break free and tag out, with Steelz stopping her inches from tagging in Susie. Hogan then came in and had to fight a desperate Rea and barely kept her from tagging out, then it’s Kimber Lee’s turn.

Rae kicked out of another cover, then managed to tag in Susie. As Susie and Lee go at it, all the women become involved again in a brawl. Valkyrie and Rosemary caught Edwards in a double DDT and the ring emptied as the fight went to the floor.

Rae took advantage and superkicked Lee, and Susie picked a dazed Lee up and spun her around in an airplane spin, then hit with her alter ego’s Panic Switch for the pin. Afterwards, Susie’s head ticked to the side as it looked like Su Yung was attempting to awaken.

    Standing tall

A brawl started after the match, and Rae knocked John E. Bravo off the ring apron, then superkicked Rosemary and Valkyrie to protect Susie, who she helped to her feet following their attack. This cemented Rea as a favorite for the Gauntlet as she spent most of the match in the ring and had a hand in winning it, effectively putting her over.

It’s also a cool touch that she’s really the only one that’s helping Susie keep Su Yung from waking. This makes us believe that Su Yung will awake at Slammiversary and possibly probably against Kylie Rae.

What a way to start Impact Wrestling.
