Last week on Impact Wrestling, Hernandez was cleaning everyone out in the Impact Wrestling locker room in arm wrestling until last week when Rhino challenged him. The result was they were still going through meals, bathroom breaks, you name it. They were back at their table when Moose approached them about being his partner. Both said no as they were busy, so Moose patted Hernandez’s side and Rhino won.
Needless to say, Hernandez wasn’t happy and took his money back. Which meant Rhino wasn’t happy.
This means only one thing. A Backlot Brawl!

Backlot Brawl – Rhino vs. Hernandez
They confront each other in the parking lot in what was a highly entertaining cinematic match that looked every bit a realistic fight.
There were no rules as each hit the other with everything they could from a trash can to traffic cones. A low blow kick from Rhino seemed to end things, but as he walked away, Hernandex toop his bandana and attempted to garrote Rhino with it.
Rhino reversed it, and used the bandana to choke Hernandez from the front while holding him against a wall.
Seemingly victorious, Rhino takes the roll of money and starts walking away. This is where the traffic cones came into play after the metal trashcan became useless.
Hernandez then thought he had things won and headed off with the money, but Rhino gored him into a chain link fence, and the two slowly dropped into sitting positions with the fence holding them up.
Peace among friends
The roll of money was on the ground between them, and they both reached for it.
They agreed to split the money, and then shook hands before remaining there waiting to regain their strength.
This was just fun and a nice addition to this week’s Impact Wrestling. We got to see old favorites do what they do best, and in the simplest way possible and with as few weapons as possible. Sometimes, it’s better to just simplify things, such as leaving both men to their own devices to give us an entertaining and realistic fight that scratched our old ECW itch as well as brought back some memories of our younger of scrapping with our friends.
Plus, we got to see some pretty cool first person angles where each punched into the camera. While the angles used could be argued, it was a nice touch that set it apart from what we’re used to seeing in the ring.
