Roman Reigns has been gone for a while now, for good reason, due to previously having cancer. He is considered a vulnerable person to Covid 19 and he didn’t feel comfortable wrestling during the pandemic which is a very good reason to be gone for a while. We do hope for his return to be great when it is 100% safe for him. Although saying that, it should be said that it is time for Roman Reigns to start becoming the Legend he could and should be. There’s no doubt that Roman Reigns is an amazing wrestler.
Why has everyone in the Shield become great except Roman Reigns?
This is due to him, over the years, never really hitting the nail on the head. Although sometimes due to bad timing and a lack of freedom like many other Superstars. Roman Reigns’ performances always felt like something’s missing. A massive reason for this is due to his character staying near enough the same after leaving the Shield. Then there’s Jon Moxley and Seth Rollins that have gone on to become amazing in their own right. With them having massive character changes through the years. Kind of proving what Roman Reigns needs, to become as great as them or even greater.
Turn him Heel and give him some freedom!
It’s impossible to look at all three members of the Shield and look at how good they are and how Roman is in third place if we were ranking them. Even Jon Moxley had to leave to become successful. It’s the freedom that has made him a success. Even though Seth Rollinshas stayed in WWE, it feels like he has a lot of freedom in his success.
Then there’s the big one, the Heel turn seems to be the formula to becoming a Legend. With both Jon Moxley and Seth Rollins turning Heel in their careers. Roman Reigns hasn’t changed since the Shield broke up. Even having the same outfit as he did in the Shield. Making him, in some ways, feel kind of boring. If they did dive into Roman Reigns and change a lot about his character and finally do the Heel turn. That has made so many successful after a Heel turn. It’s even how the Rock started a Legend career, so why not do it for Roman Reigns.
