WWE Main Event Results: Billie Kay vs. Bianca Belair

When she left NXT, having previously been a top contender for the Women’s Championship, Bianca Belair seemed like someone who would be right in the title picture on Monday Night RAW. Her natural ability, charisma, and workrate should have ensured this, and she would become the EST of WWE. Instead she is the EST Of Main Event, but atleast she isn’t facing Ruby Riott again this week. Instead, she gets Billie Kay in rare singles form, as her and her partner Peyton look to prove they’re more than just a tag team. Would the loud mouthed Aussie be able to end Belairs winning ways?

    Billie Kay Shows Her Skills

The match would start with a feeble lockup, with the power advantage being clear for Belair. She would also have the speed and technical advantage, really just outclassing Kay in every aspect; except one. Kay had Peyton in her corner like usual. Billies only early advantages would come from Peytons help or crafty counters. Meanwhile Belair was hitting crisp standing moonsaults, and clubbing Kay down to the mat with ease. However, she’d hurt the left arm while throwing herself over Kay in the corner, and that was the target Kay needed. She’d use her long legs for an armbreaker, and go on the offensive.

Loudly yelling “I’ll break your arm!” while snapping and stomping it, Kay would show classic heel sensibilities. Belair is the better overall wrestler, but if you have only one arm, you’re at 50% power. Kay would mock Belair, having the injured arm trapped with one arm, her good arm trapped with a leg, and she’d rub the long braid of Belair her face before focusing on the arm.

    Bianca Belair Makes The Comeback

Breaking free of the submission, Belair would come off the ropes with a sunset flip for a near fall, and have some control before another armbreaker took her down with ease. Kay would have to take this match seriously or she’d lose it. A scoop slam would put down Kay, but the arm injury would slow the follow up. Running off the ropes and hitting a big dropkick, the story would be the same, as she landed hard on her hurt arm.

Focusing on simple kicks in the corner, stomping the Aussie down, but a distraction from Peyton would allow Kay to get a roll up. This would get a two count, and she’d go for the Shades Of Kay Big Boot, but Belair would dodge. Using what strength she had left, she’d get Kay on her shoulders and nail the Kiss Of Death facebuster for the win.

This match was nothing to write home about, but it was a solid display from both women. Belair was forced to fight from beneath, while Kay showed her ring savvy in expertly working the arm. I’d give it a solid 2/5 rating. Hopefully as her winning ways continue, Belair can get a shot against RAW Women’s Champion Asuka.

Do you think Belair is just waiting for an open spot on RAW to make her name known? Will she have Peyton Royce next week on Main Event? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
