This is the night everyone has been waiting for. Last week, NXT revived The Great American Bash, and this week it continues, but the biggest match was always set for Night Two. You could call this a one match card, and it would be true. NXT North American Champion, Keith Lee faces off with NXT Champion Adam Cole, and it’s winner takes all. One man could very well leave Full Sail University draped in gold, and it’s hands down the biggest match in NXT TV history. But what else does the card have in store?
Johnny Gargano Shows Swerve What His NXT Is
In a match that could steal the show from underneath Cole vs. Lee, two of the best on the brand will go at it. After a backstage confrontation last week, Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott would call out the only Triple Crown Champion in NXT, Johnny Gargano for a match. They’re both agile, technically sound, and can wrestle a helluva match. Swerve, like most on the brand, is just one big win away from being launched into super stardom, and this could be that match for him. Gargano is flying low at the moment after not winning the NXT North American Championship, and that could impact his performance.
Legado Del Fantasma In Full Force
Santos Escobar is our NXT Cruiserweight Champion, and he’s flanked by Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde. Together they might be the most dangerous faction NXT has to offer, but Drake Maverick doesn’t care. He’s rushed them without backup a few times now, and shows more heart than brains, but this time he has allies in Breezango. This will be a chaotic six man tag team match, with plenty of flash in it’s lineup. It’s unlikely Legado Del Fantasma takes a loss so early, but we’ve learned better than to count Drake Maverick out.
Mia Yim & Candice LeRae Take It To The Streets
The issues between Mia Yim & Candice LeRae have hit their boiling point, and the rulebook has been thrown out on this rivalary. Anything goes this week, as they meet under street-fight rules. They are two of the most hardcore ladies on the roster, not afraid to shed blood in pursuit of victory and glory, and that is going to make this potentially the most brual match in the history of the NXT Womens Division.
Also on tonights card is Mercedes Martinez, who is going to make her proper NXT debut. Robert Stone is teasing a major announcement as well, and those two things very well could be linked.
