Bayley and Sasha Banks were backstage with Bayley doing her usual, and Banks accepted Asuke and Kairi Sane’s challenge for their tag team championship challenge, shocking Bayley.
Champion vs Champion – Bayley vs. Asuka
We came back from commercial to find Nikki Cross with the commentators, promising she’ll be good. Her mood changed from friendly to snarling when Bayley and Banks came out.
There was a brief exchange of words between Cross, Bayley and Banks, but nothing major happened yet.
Asuka took control early on and nearly got the Asuka Lock in early but Bayley managed to slide out of the ring.
Cross was her normal energetic self, and Bayley knocked the headset off her head, and security had to intervene.
Bayley sought to take advantage, but Asuka caught her coming off the apron with a knee to the chin.
We came back from commercial with Asuka in control with an armbar on Bayley in the ring.
Bayley ducked a kick and with a few strikes and reverse elbow for a near fall.
When Asuka was knocked out of the ring, Sane came to help her, protecting her from a double team. It helped Asuka gain the upper hand and a near pinfall.
With Asuka down, Bayley took a break to put on the head phones and talk about how she’s serving it up.
We returned with Bayley still in control, choking out Asuka when she got the chance and allowing Banks to trash talk her.
Asuka kept fighting, refusing to give in and getting in a shot when she could.
Bayley’s taunting increased, and Asuka kicked the snot out of her, and hit her with her full arsenal, including a hip attack for a near win.
Asuka hit Bayley with a missile dropkick for another near fall.
Bayley turned the tide yet again but countering and sending Asuka head first into the ringpost, then the barrier.
Bayley and Banks double teamed Asuka after drawing Sane into the ring, but Asuka kicked out.
Bayley was getting cocky outside the ring, but backed away when she saw Nikki Cross.
Asuka locked in the Asuka Lock while Sane took out Banks with a spear. Bayley slipped out of the Asuka Lock, but Asuka rolled her up for the pin.
Another fun episode with some cool surprises, but we’re still stuck on MVP having the new US Championship. It should’ve been unveiled and given to the current champion or had a ceremony including the current champion. This was… well, anyway, what was your favorite part? Let us know below?
