AEW Dynamite Results: FTR Host Tag Team Appreciation Night

FTR are the reason why tonight is Tag Team Appreciation Night, and it’s only right that they will host some of the biggest legends in tag team wrestling history. The Rock n’ Roll Experience are set to show up, as well as Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard. Arn & Tully have constant roles in AEW, but they rarely appear as allies. Could tonight be vital in the forming of a new faction?

Tag Team Appreciation Night Was Going Great!

The ring would be full of the history of tag team wrestling with the future. On one side we have FTR & The Brainbusters, on the other, The Young Bucks & Rock n’ Roll Express. Matt Jackson would credit Rock n’ Roll Express for creating the style he & his brother use to this very day, they inspired teams like The Rockers & Team Extreme. They brought them here to thank them for everything they did.

FTR brought in them because they love tag team wrestling, and they credit Rock n’ Roll Express for ensuring tag team wrestling became huge. Ricky Morton would grab the microphone and say that FTR are the second coming of Tully & Arn, but he’s a bigger fan of The Young Bucks. He sees them as the top tag team in the world.

Arn would speak next, saying that Young Bucks took tag team wrestling to another level. He’d praise the longevity of Rock n’ Roll Express, and say FTR is the best team in the world.

Tully would steal the microphone from Morton, and tell him he doesn’t want to start something he can’t finish. He has news for everyone in the ring, no one here has the belts to prove they’re the best. Neither FTR or The Young Bucks are the champions, yet they’re here patting themselves on the back.

    A Brawl Breaks Out

Arn & Tully have had issues since last year, and he doesn’t understand why he’s aligned with a Rhodes. As he explained himself, Shawn Spears made his way to the ring. Arn would look to make himself sparse, and Morton punched Tully right between the eyes.

FTR & The Young Bucks would try to seperate the legends, but Harwood hurt his knee again. Tully would be pushed towards the ramp by Spears and The Young Bucks, leaving FTR in the ring with Rock n’ Roll Express.

Harwood would stand up, completely fine and Wheeler would slam Gibson in the back with the knee brace. Morton would be hit with a spike piledriver, the old finisher of The Brainbusters. The Young Bucks would chase them off, but FTR’s plan clearly worked out. Omega & Page would come check on Morton.

What is FTR’s next move after laying out Rock n’ Roll Express? Are we going to see them face off in a match soon? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.

A wrestling fan practically since birth, who has been hooked since he got his first toy wrestling ring for Christmas as a child. Since getting access to the internet, he's watched more wrestling than he could ever remember from all around the world. It's hard to keep track of what happens in the wild world of professional wrestling, but he always tries to stay up to date. Note: No relation to Tully Blanchard of Four Horsemen fame (probably).
