CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here to jump into a new week and new episodes with a gusto we’ve been lacking of late.
Amazing what having some continuity injected into our stories can do for us, isn’t it?
August 10 marks the first day since daytime television’s shows halted production that all four will now have fresh and new content.
Okay, maybe fresh is too strong a term for what’s coming, but it’s the thought that counts, right?
To get things back on track, we get a recap episode to bring us up to speed on the current storylines. This is a pretty cool way of doing it to get us back in the action, as it also includes a touching theme.
Brace for the recaps
Like they did with “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Young and the Restless” will have a pair of stars helping to share previous shenanigans, but through a creative endeavor.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be planning a special celebration for Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) Chancellor Park dedication ceremony anniversary.
Whew! Try saying that five times fast.
Billy and Lily will chat with some of Genoa City’s top citizens like Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to discuss recent goings on.
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers expect them to focus mainly on the pre-lockdown storylines with a couple of older ones thrown in to honor various characters and actors no longer with us.
It’s been rumored to be a lover letter from them to Katherine and the town, the latter we believe signifies fans of the show.
While that’s an awesome gesture, we may have some other changes coming.
As with B&B, Y&R as been rumored to rewrite some of their storylines fans found lacking, such as Victor and Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) recent arc where Adam tried to prove his worth by proving his father killed someone.
The other is Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cancer story, as few of us want to see it continue given real world issue and daily reminders of new cases (but not how many were tested) and deaths.
If the show runners ignore fans on this one, well, it’ll be interesting to see how things go.
Which storyline are you looking forward to seeing again? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to check back with CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
