Roman Rozell defeated “The Live Wire” KTD
Rozell’s been on a run lately as the former green beret is two and oh so far.
This started as a cool amateur wrestling match as the pair exchanged waist locks until Rozell reached he ropes.
After a northern lights suplex, Rozell slapped on the Patriot’s Wheel for the submission.
Anarchy title debate
Backstage, Melvin Maximus was backstage preparing for his match when Ms. Marvelous came in and gave him grief over him having the Anarchy belt in his bag.
Melvin asked her what her obsession with it was, and mentioned that she cares more about it that she does their wedding.
She responded by saying she’ll take care of their wedding.
We get the feeling Amon will return there. Call it a hunch.
Rush Division Fatal Four Way – The Nephilim D’Mone Solavino defeated “Zero Gravity” AJ Daniels, Action Ashton Cove, and Nigel Winters
Fun note: AJ Daniels was the first ever Rush division champion.
They wasted no time in getting things going with a couple of double teams for step up kicks and headlocks. Yes, a double team headlock.
Daniels shows why he’s called Zero Gravity by leaping onto the ropes and hitting with a splash outside the ring.
Solavino pinned Daniels after Daniels hit a splash to become the number one contender for the Rush division championship. Winters got there too late to save the pin.
“The Rock Star” Ryan Howe Returns, Calls out Tony Gunn
After introducing himself and mentioning he’s a two time OVW Heavyweight Champion, and he’s back for three.
He’s been wrestling for ten years, but there’s more for him to do and he’s just getting started.
He called out Tony Gunn, asking if he’s even had a match since winning the OVW Heavyweight Champion.
Tony Gunn then came out and calmly took the mic from Howe.
“Here we are in the buttcrack of Indiana, and we have a skid mark in the center of this ring.”
OVW Results and Recap love seeing a great heel at work.
Gunn then questioned who Howe thinks he if to demand a title shot.
Gunn then continued, saying he doesn’t deserve a title shot because it’s his ring and his show.
Howe took the mic back, and said he’s back and slapped the title belt on Gunn’s shoulder, saying that’s his cease and desist.
“Bulletproof” Brian Pillman Jr. defeated “The Prince of Flight” Corey Storm by pinfall
Pillman grounded the match early on with some headlocks and showing his power after hitting three shoulder blocks.
Pillman showed he can move, too, as he hit Storm with a senton bomb over the top rope.
Storm fought back with some kicks, but Pillman nailed him during a springboard.
Dimes tripped Storm at the ropes when he was gaining some steam, and Pillman hit with superkick and rolled Storm up in a small package for the in.
After the match, Storm cornered Dimes in the ring, but Bradley jumped Storm from behind and the pair beat Storm down.
Brian Kennison interviews Adam Revolver
After checking Brian’s temperature, Revolver proclaimed he could interview him. He then went on how they’re wrestling in a dungeon and pointed to spider webs and shelves, citing them as being beds for small people.
Revolver then singled out the most “disgusting” thing he could find — an Indiana Pacers jersey.
He continued saying this whole year needs to be shut down.
OVW Tag Team Championship – The Legacy of Brutality (Ca$h Flow and Big Zo) (c) defeated The Complete Package (Tony Bizo and Anthony Cantina)
Bizo took Ca$h Flow down with a clothesline early on, much to the surprise of the announcers.
After an early pin attempt by Cantina on Ca$h Flow, the LOB took over for a while.
Bizo retook the momentum by knocking Ca$h Flow out of the ring prior to the commercial break, but LOB took over again by the time we came back.
Bizo threw Cash Flow into the referee, and the Complete Package almost won the titles.
Big Zo hit Cantino with a Vader Bomb for the pin and win.
Steve Michaels appears to have joined the LOB as he interfered to help LOB retain the titles.
This was a pretty good show and we can’t wait to see what’s happening next week on OVW. What’d you think? What was your favorite match?
