WWE Smackdown Results and Recap returned backstage as Cesaro set the Smackdown Tag Team Championships up on a pallet as decorations, then said they’re the greatest champions.
While he asked Shinsuke Nakamura how to say little in Japanese, Lucha house Party snuck in behind them to steal the titles, and they gave chase,
Styles accepts Jeff Hardy’s challenge
We came back with Styles complaining about Jeff Hardy punching him in the face as his stooge carried his board behind him.
When Kayla approached him, he pointed out how Jeff doesn’t respect him, but he’ll show the world what happens to those that cross him — they’re erased.
He then tried to erase the board but it wouldn’t wipe clean. He gave his associate grief for using permanent marker and stormed off.
Gran Metalik (w/Lince Dorado and the borrowed tag team belts) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (w/Cesaro)
Cesaro collected the belts at the announcer’s table.
Nakamura attacked Metalik with kicks and stieks right off the bat, putting Metalik into the corner before Nakamura snapmared him over and hit with a leg drop for a near pinfall.
Metalik ducked a clothesline off the ropes and his Nakamua with a kick and followed it with a headlock.
Nakamura threw Metalik off the ropes and sidestepped a back somersault before being caught in a hurricanranna and sent out of the ring.
Nakamura cought his dive through the rope with a kick for a near pinfall.
Metalik caught Nakamura with a shoulderblock in the midsection, then hit with a crossbody clock and bulldog.
Nakamura reversed Metalik into the ropes, but Metalik caught him with reverse elbow off the middle rope for a near pinfall.
Metalik walked the ropes, but Cesaro distracted him long enough for Nakamura to hit with a kick to the midsection and near pinfall.
Nakamura hit with an inverted Exploder, but couldn’t follow up before Lucha House Party’s music started and Kallisto appeared, and he and Doradoe planted Cesaro on the ramp.
Metalik took advantage and hit Nakamura with a kick and elbow drop from the ropes for the pin.
King Corbin Strikes
WWE Smackdown Results and Recap loved how Kayla interviewed Matt Riddle, making sure to mention Retribution and the turmoil they caused, before switching focus to King Corbin instead.
He said nobody likes having a bounty on his head, and his has been on a swivel. He’s there to compete and he wants to compete.
He then said King Corbin thinks he’s a king, but he’s a royal pain.
He was interrupted when Shorty G approached him and said he had to explain himself.
Shorty G pointed out the money would’ve allowed him to help his family and said it makes him sick.
He wanted to apologize head to head and they exchanged fist bumps.
Riddle was about to ask him something when Corbin attacked him from behind. Corbin then thanks Shorty G, saying he knew he’d amount to something great.
Short G didn’t look happy about it.
WWE Smackdown Results and Recap can’t help but wonder if he meant what he said and Corbin took advantage of it, or if this was an intended setup?
