A new image of the upcoming WWE 2K Battlegrounds which featured the rules for the battle royale matches. It had an image that looked like an image of Tessa Blanchard. The image was from when she was in Impact which makes this even weirder.
Tessa Blanchard left Impact a couple of months back now and has only booked to wrestle once in an Indie show. She is currently not signed with any big company exclusively. There is a lot of speculation that she would end up in AEW due to the fact that her dad Tully Blanchard is in AEW.
There was some controversy surrounding her using a racial slur and bullying which she denied. AEW did seem to have zero tolerance on racists, which all companies should have. As they have banned Hulk Hogan and his partner from all shows due to past racist remarks. This could mean that Tessa could be going WWE.
Could this just be lazy art?
This could be that 2K have just gone down the lazy route here. With this being someone else’s picture and 2K thinking it’s a generic wrestler. She is arguably one of the hottest free agents in the business today. I
f this was a mistake and Tessa Blanchard isn’t coming to WWE. It is very lazy and kind of shows that the next game might be a mess. Could this massive blunder be the final nail in the coffin with the relationship between 2K and WWE?
The photographer who took the photo commented on Twitter:
“Hey @WWEgames you wanna tell me why you took my photo without my permission to use it in your game?”
Another Twitter account by the name of @HeelByNatureYT went to google and typed in a winning woman wrestler. This photo that’s being compared did show up. It adds a little more fuel to the fire, that is this mistake.
