The WWE Women’s tag team division seems sparse outside of NXT, but here it thrives. A new union between Jessi Kamea & Xia Li would be tested against Kayden Carter & Kacy Catanzaro. These are two very promising teams, but only one would get a win tonight.
Kayden Carter & Kacy Catanzaro Show Their Incredible Chemistry
Carter would start against Li, and they’d start with some chain wrestling. The wrist would be locked up by Li, and Carter would have to fight hard to get free, but once it came, the lightning quick duo would show their biggest asset. Catanzaro is as quick as they come, and Li wouldn’t be able to keep up.
Carter would come back in for a crucifix pin, but Li would get a big strike and tag in Kamea. Kamea would be taken down with an armdrag, and sandwiched with kicks, and she’d quickly tag out to Li who got this one back in their corner. Some quick tags would start the isolation of Catanzaro, showing natural tag team chemistry.
Catanzaro would use her speed to slip out and get the tag to Carter, who’d go strike for strike with Xia Li, getting a big dropkick, followed by a Victory Roll into a superkick. Carter would superkick Kamea as well, and hop into Crucifix position, allowing Catanzaro to kick her into the pin. Catanzaro then dove in and got the pin, ending this match in unique fashion.
Jax & Baszler Might Have A Problem On Their Hands.
This is not the first time we’ve seen this duo in tag team action, but it was by far their best showing yet. After the match, they’d show some respect to their opponents, but Xia Li wanted none of it.
This could be the start of a great tag team run from these two, but should Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler make a trip to Full Sail to check them out just yet? They are two hard hitters, and Jax could take out Catanzaro with a single strike… if she can hit her in the first place. The speed advantage would be overwhelming, to say the least.
