Leading into the Smackdown Tag Team Championship match at Clash of Champions, this makes sense to further a couple of storylines to WWE Smackdown Results.
Plus, this should be a fun one, and it started fast with Nakamura hitting a pair of kicks and knees before forcing Metalik into the ropes. Metalik ducked a strike, then his with a kick.
Metalik hit with a springboard arm drag to send Nakamura out of the ring, and Nakamura hit with a kick, then threw Metalik into the barrier before putting him on the ring apron.
Nakamura hit with a running knee, then rolled Metalik into the ring for a pin attempt.
Nakamura locked in an arm bar, but Meltalik fought out of it and sent Nakamura into the corner.
But Nakamura countered Metalik’s charged with a knee, then threw Metalik into the corner and hit a handful of kicks, but Metalik fought out before Nakamura locked in a front face lock.
Metalik hit with a hurricanrana, then a step up kick in the rope, sending Nakamura to the floor where he hit with a flip over the top rope.
Metalik nearly had a pinfall win after hitting with another flip over the top rope.
Nakamura dodged Metalik’s next couple of flips and caught him with a running knee in the corner.
Nakamura then hit with a Exploder and Kinshasa for the win.
Tides turn
While Nakamura celebrated, Dorado entered the ring to check on Metalik and Cesaro hit him with a gut wrench suplex and a stomp.
Kalisto decided not to head into the ring when he saw the attack, and only did so when Nakamura and Cesaro were leaving.
Dorado knocked Kalisto down when Kalisto tried to help him to his feet, and was in shock when Dorado helped Metalik out of the ring.
WWE Smackdown Results loves how it looks like Lucha House Party have finally stood up to Kalisto, and it should make their match at Clash of Champions interesting.
Of course, there’s always a chance that Kalisto pays them back by costing them the Smackdown Tag Team Championship, but will he?
Even worse for him, he could so do accidentally, or his partner could leave him in the ring like he did them. Plenty of ways for this to go.
WWE Smackdown Results may have found another reason to watch the pay-per-view.
