Curt Stallion has not been having a great time since coming to 205 Live. First he makes his debut against Ariya Daivari, only to get kneed in the head by Tony Nese. Then he wrestles Tony Nese, and a distraction from Daivari leads to another knee to the head.
Now, he’s got another chance at Ariya Daivari, but has to keep his eyes peeled for that Running Nese, as Nese was hanging out on commentary. Could it finally be The Lone Star’s time?
Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese Want To Work Together Again
Stallion would grab Daivari early with a headlock, and prevent two attempts of being shoved off. He’d just cinch the hold in deeper, and make Daivari struggle to escape. A slow start, but an effective one. Davari finally broke free, only to eat a chop to the chest, but he’d manage to yank Stallion down by his hair.
Now in control, Daivari would go to work with some chops in the corner, before hitting a back suplex, Stallion kicking out at one. On commentary, Vic Joseph would offer Tony Nese some skittles, and this deeply offended him. It’s not important to the match, but I couldn’t leave it out.
Meanwhile in the ring, Stallion would fight back with some more chops and some kicks before a rolling elbow for a two count. Daivari was thrown off the ropes, but he’d slip to the outside. Nese ran a distraction, and Curt Stallion was hit from behind by Daivari. He’d get Stallion back in the ring, and apply a tight chinlock.
Stallion fought to his feet, only to be dropped by a right hand. He’d keep fighting, but Daivari dodged a lariat and hit the neckbreaker. Stallion was thrown to the outside, Nese mocked him as Daivari slammed his face off the announce table.
Curt Stallion Learns From Past Mistakes
Back in the ring again, Daivari would apply a Camel Clutch in the middle of the ring, sitting deep on the back. Stallion got an arm free, and Daivari would look to jump onto the back and cause some extra punishment. Instead, he got the knees of Stallion to the groin, technically a low blow but falls in the grey area of a Manhattan Drop.
A running pump kick and a quick knee strike in the corner would be followed with a hesitation dropkick. Stallion would stomp the foot of Daivari before pulling him into a quick DDT, this getting a two count. Daivari would prevent Stallion from reaching the top rope, and hit the Persian Splash off the top himself, but Stallion had enough fight to kick out.
Stallion would counter a piledriver into an interesting backbreaker, hitting a double stomp for another near fall. Daivari fled to the outside, getting a suicide dive.
Stallion would get a chance to hit Nese, but think better until Nese got up onto the apron and went for a punch. He’d get a headbutt, Daivairi sneaking behind for the Hammerlock Lariat, but Stallion countered into a pinfall!
This lead to Stallions first win of many in WWE, in a match that was better than it had any right to be. Stallion has a Young Lion like vibe to him, you can’t help but cheer for him, and that can take a wrestler very far.
