It was revealed on Raw last night that Jeff Hardy and Elias will be going head to head at this Sunday’s Hell In A Cell PPV. The match is only the fourth official match that is due to take place, which seems a small number for what is expected to be a three-hour show on Sunday.
The rivalry between Elias and Hardy on started seven days ago when Hardy was attacked by Elias during a triple threat match, but it will be a welcome sight to see Elias back in the ring after missing much of the year through injury. It’s unlikely that the WWE will have Elias lose on his return, while one loss certainly won’t be hurting Hardy.
WWE News: Other Matches Set For Hell In A Cell
All three other matches that have been announced for the show will all take place inside the cell. The main event looks set to be the WWE Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton. The two superstars ended Raw last night with an interesting back and forth, before the lights went out after McIntyre got inside the cell to confront Orton.
Roman Reigns will also have his re-match against Jey Uso during the PPV, and that match will also be taking place inside the cell. However, for the first time, this cell match will be an ‘I Quit’ match. Reigns promised high stakes for the re-match, and it looks set to be another captivating match between the cousins.
WWE News: Will More Matches Be Added?
The fourth and final match that has been scheduled for the PPV is the SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Bayley and Sasha Banks. If there was ever a match that needed the cell involved, then it was this one. However, it will likely be the first of a series of matches for the championship between these two superstars.
With only four matches announced so far, there could be some long matches during the PPV this weekend. But, there is still time for more matches to be announced. There could be a couple added to the card on social media, while a tag team match between the Street Profits and the team of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode has also been muted.
