The first night of the WWE Draft gets underway tonight on SmackDown, which means it promises to be a huge night of drama on Fox. Fans will be tuning in to see the superstars that will be swapping Raw, or NXT for the blue brand, but there are also a number of other huge segments revealed to be taking place on SmackDown this evening, and this is what viewers can expect to see this evening.
WWE News: Bayley vs Sasha Banks
Fans will be given a first look at the way that the Bayley and Sasha Banks rivalry could unfold and the two superstars will face off during SmackDown this evening. The women’s championship will be on the line in the match, but this will likely be part of a longer story between the two former friends. Banks and Bayley have been carrying the WWE during the lockdown-era, and it seems as though we could be heading towards the women having a huge blow off match at Wrestlemania next year. However, there is a long way to go before then, and viewers will be set for what should be an entertaining match between the two women tonight.
WWE News: The Fiend Set For Action
It feels like a big show for SmackDown tonight, as The Fiend will also be in action on Friday night. The Fiend has been clashing with Kevin Owens over the past two weeks and the two of them are scheduled to face off during the show tonight. It’s unclear whether this will be a longer story between the two superstars, or whether it is a transitional rivalry, which will lead to either Owens being on SmackDown or The Fiend being on Raw. Either way, both superstars typically put on excellent matches so this will be an entertaining section of the show.
WWE News: Big E/Sheamus Clash & Otis In Court
Two further segments have also been announced for tonight. The first of which will see Big E come up against Sheamus in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Big E’s star has continued to rise over recent weeks, but he suffered a first singles defeat a couple of weeks ago. He will be keen to avenge that defeat and get back on the right path tonight. Meanwhile, Otis will also be on the show as he will be appearing in court to defend his Money in the Bank contract. Fans aren’t sure what to expect from this segment, but at least the contract is getting some air time.
