Just when you thought that NXT Women’s division couldn’t get any better, Toni Storm shows back up. The former NXT UK Women’s Champion was looking to make her home in NXT earlier this year, and losing an I Quit match with Kay Lee Ray was the perfect reason to move over. At NXT Takeover 31 she showed up on the big screen, but this week? It’s Toni Time, and Aliyah is the opponent.
Toni Storm Has Arrived
The ace of Robert Stone Brand would be quickly dropped by the coming Storm, some quick kicks coming her way. To the credit of Aliyah, she mounted a comeback, and things were looking nice after a neckbreaker got a two count.
Storm was fighting from underneath in her comeback, but an armdrag into a schoolboy got a two count. Some manhattan drops and chops would be followed by a quick German Suplex. A quick Lariat and the Storm Zero? This one was done real quick.
She’s the queen of the comeback, bringing her the NXT UK Women’s Championship and a Mae Young Classic victory. Aliyah took advantage of some ring rust, but it didn’t end well for her.
The NXT Women’s Division Is The Best Around
While in NXT UK, she was the top of the top, she needs to build herself up in NXT. Ring rust is an excuse for letting Aliyah get on top for the bulk of her return match, but she needs to step her game up for next time. She’s in the big leagues as far as women in WWE go, competition is stiff, and even old foes like Rhea Ripley & Io Shirai are in another league now.
Storm might not be able to walk her way to a championship shot, and with others like Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon working their way to a shot at Shirai. Will Storm be able to reach championship gold? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
