It has been announced that we will be getting an AEW game announcement on November 10th 6/5c. This was confirmed through Kenny Omega on Twitter. This seems to be where the big announcement will be. There has been a lot of anticipation for this. The fact that we’re getting an announcement already is massive news.
What will the game be?
Kenny Omega has said he’s been hinting at what the game will be. Looking through his AEW run. The only hint we do have is Street Fighter. With Kenny Omega constantly wearing the shirts and having a crossover shirt with them.
This got us thinking that the AEW game could be a classic fighting game. Taking out the realism and going over the top like Street Fighter. This hasn’t really been done in wrestling video games either, so this would massively stand out from the rest.
Will it be better than WWE games?
It seems like AEW are very good in the 18 to 49 demographic. This most likely being the ages of the people playing the game. It could show that AEW knows what that demographic wants. They also have key members of AEW behind this game with Kenny Omega and Aubrey Edwards.
Who are both big in the gaming industry with Kenny Omega having his own gaming event. Then there’s Aubrey Edwards, who worked as a producer in the gaming industry for 8 years and worked on games like the Lego series. There is also no doubt that these two know some amazing developers to get a great game out, hopefully better than the WWE games we’ve been getting recently.
