Following the last couple of years of Kylie Rae has been interesting to say the least. Many fans got their first exposure to her when she was one of the first female names signed to All Elite Wrestling. She seemed destined to be their first champion and all around top babyface, before she left the company in a very hushed manner.
Rae would resurface on the indies a time later, before making her debut for Impact Wrestling. Things were finally starting to go right for her, and she was set to challenge for and perhaps even win her first Knockouts Championship. Instead, she would no-show the event, and Su Yung took her place in the match against Deonna Purrazo. This had fans worried for her once again, but we got quick confirmation she was fine.
However, this might be the last we see of her in professional wrestling, as she sent out a message to her fans on Patreon earlier this morning.
Kylie Rae Is No Longer A Professional Wrestler
The message sent out to her patrons would read the following.
“Good morning. I’m truly sorry for the pain I’ve caused and miscommunication. I am currently unwell. I’m also sorry I wasn’t able to get this out before your monthly subscription charge. I wanted to take this time to say I am no longer a professional wrestler, and am currently taking a break from social media. It’s been a very hard decision to make, but please understand. When I am well, I will try to fulfill any obligations that I have missed.”
It’s never quite been clear what is going on with Kylie Rae, be it physical or mental health issues, or something else entirely. Whatever it is, it has made it hard for her to follow her professional wrestling dreams. Taking a step back and finding yourself when you’re seemingly just a few steps from greatness is not easy, but sometimes it is for the best. Fans are heartbroken by this news, Kylie Rae was fantastic and deserved every big chance she got. At the end of the day, the choice was hers, and fans will have to respect this.
