Kicking off this episode of NXT UK is Amir Jordan & Kenny Williams back in tag team action, after Williams failed to advance in the Heritage Cup. They will face down The Hunt, Wild Boar and Primate, and their new manager Eddie Dennis. The Hunt took down longtime friends Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster after aligning with Dennis, and now they look to climb to the NXT UK Tag Team Championships.
Amir Jordan & Kenny Williams Are More Focused Than Ever
Wild Boar would start with Kenny Williams, and throw clubbing blows early before tagging in Primate. Primate came off the top rope with an axe handle, but Williams picked the ankle after recovering and grabbed an armbar. He’d tag in Amir Jordan, who’d dive in for a leg drop, before Williams came back in with a diving elbow.
These quick tags in and out would work out well, as Primate was starting to get isolated as Williams sent him into the mat with a running hurricanrana, before hitting a dropkick. This dropkick sent him into his corner and Wild Boar was back in. WIlliams caught him with some rollups, but Boar survived to eat a back forearm.
Primate was caught as well by Williams as he tried to save his partner, and Jordan & Williams were thus far wrestling a perfect match. Jordan hit a crossbody off the top to Boar in the ring, getting a two count. Boar would finally regain control after flapjacking Williams off the apron to the floor, to the pleasure of Dennis.
The Hunt Get Their Prey
Primate was tagged in and would maul Williams. He’d hit a suplex for a near fall, and The Hunt would start to make quick tags. They’d remain fresh, and there was less and less gusto with the kickouts of Williams, and Dennis was just loving this. Boar was thrown into Williams by Primate, be battered with headbutts, have his leg abused and more.
Jordan was getting desperate for a tag watching Williams being mauled, but if he didn’t get it soon this would become a handicap match. Williams broke free with some luck and agility, jumping over Wild Boar and tagging Jordan in. He’d try to be the difference maker with a great comeback, taking out both members of The Hunt before setting up a diving Swanton Bomb.
Primate saved Boar from pinfall, dragged him to the corner and would come in to take an enzuguri from Jordan. Williams was tagged in and hit a big bulldog, but Primate countered a spinning DDT and set up a tag team finisher. Sadly, Williams would slip out and hit a springboard back elbow to both men. Jordan went for the rolling flatliner, but Wild Boar beheaded him with a lariat. The Hunt would hit their double diving headbutt, and this one was done.
