Hello and thank you for joining OVW TV 1107 Recap!

It was an exciting week last week, but we’re all set to get things rolling this week.

The show started with a really cool classic film type of opening with a scrolling context about Melvin Maximus’ struggle with Amon; similar to some old horror movies

After Reverend Ronnie was abducted last week prior to him being able to perform his exorcism, Mr. Marvelous was challenged to a Devil’s Attic Match with Amon.

    Awesome cinematic opening.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_j4qutGEo0

Haley J and Harley Farifax defeated Margaritas and Moonshine (Jessie Belle, Amazing Maria) by pinfall

The exchange of flasks between Belle and Maria as they headed to the ring was awesome.

There were some pretty cool moves in this match with Haley and Harley gaining the upper hand by working on Maria’s knee.

Given the way it started, it didn’t look like Haley and Harley would pull it off, but they did and in convincing fashion.

Harley hit a superkick on Belle for the win.

    Devil’s Attic tour

Back in Amon’s territory, Mr. marvelous and his two friends made their way through a darkened hallway as Amon popped out here and there to torment and laugh at them.

    Gunn’s empty challenge

Back in the arena, Bryan Kennison interviewed Tony Gunn in the ring.

The fans chanted “We want Pillman” and Gunn gave them a solid glare before beginning his interview.

He decried Pillman calling him out last week as Gunn is the greatest heavyweight champion in OVW’s history.

He then challenged Pillman to a Heavyweight title match right then and there.

Kennison pointed out that Pillman’s flight was delayed, and Gunn asked how he’s supposed to know because he has his own room.

Kennison made the mistake of saying it sounds like the coward’s way out and Gunn took the microphone and lifted Kennison’s glasses off and shoved him backwards.

He then called Pillman the coward for not coming out, and then asked if the fans want Pillman as the Heavyweight Champion and they cheered, “Yes!”

Gunn then rescinded his challenge offer, saying it’s now gone.

    Back in the Devil’s Attic

Mr. Marvelous continued his trek through Amon’s catacombs.

One of his helpers disappeared and the other one started to panic and then ran off, saying he couldn’t do this.

As he ran through the corridors, he was eaten by a dinosaur skeleton.

The Tate Twins (Brandon and Brent Tate) defeated Gustavo and Tom Coffey by pinfall

The Tate Twins started it off with some great, athletic moves and double team on Gustavo, and continued their run on the larger and more powerful Coffey.

The Tate Twins claimed the win after a cool double team face plant on Gustavo for the pin.

Devil’s Attic – rescue at hand

Mr. marvelous found Reverend Ronnie locked in a key, but he couldn’t break the lock so he went after the key that Amon had.

The Reverend told him to go get the key, then broke down when Marvelous did at realizing he was still stuck.

Further in Amon’s lair, Amon spoke to him through a television set, saying Maverlous was in for a great surprise.

Marvelous turned around and Ms. Marvelous raked his eyes.

    Pillman’s response

Brian Pillman Jr. arrived and headed to the ring.

He wasted no time in calling Tony Gunn out and the fans chanted “He’s scared!”

Pillman said he looked through the building and Gunn’s nowhere to be found, and that he’s hiding because Gunn knew Pillman had beaten him.

Pillman pointed out that Gunn can’t drive away, because he has his keys and pulled them out of his pocket.

He then challenged Gunn to come out and confront him to at least get his keys back.

Gunn came out looking more than a little nervous as he grabbed a mic but stayed out of the ring.

Gunn told Pillman to give him his keys twice, and Pillman dropped them in the ring.

When Gunn went for them, Pillman pulled them back into the ring.

Gunn eventually climbed into the ring to get his keys, but Pillman said he’ll give him his keys if he shakes Pillman’s hand to make their match.

Gunn refused to shake his hand, saying he gave Pillman the opportunity earlier.

Pillman then tossed the keys to the side and Gunn refused to pick them up.

He then brought up Brian Pillman Sr. and Pillman went after him.

Officials broke them up, but Gunn hit a clothesline, grabbed his keys, and ran off.

    The Devil’s Attic trap

Ms. Marvelous was tied to a bed, thrashing about and calling for Melvin to help her.

Mr. Marvelous arrived, but Amon grabbed him from behind and choked him out before he and Ms. Marvelous disappeared, leaving Mr. Marvelous alone.

This is so a fun haunted house angle and OVW TV 1107 Recap is loving it.

Ashton Cove defeated Tony Bizo by pinfall

Bizo’s new aggressive attitude worked for him early on as he took over shortly after the start of the match.

Cove stole the match by reversing a powerbomb into a pretty rough huricanranna type of rollup.

Bizo then went after Cove after the match and the Tate Twins came out to help and leveed bizo.

The LOB (Legacy of Brutality) came out and beat down everyone in the ring in response to Al Snow outthinking them a couple of weeks back.

Ryan Howe and Dustin Jackson came out to help, but where quickly overpowered.

    Devil’s Attic conclusion

Mr. Marveous was outside when a car started near him. Ms. Marvelous and Amon appeared, and Mr. Marvelous and Amon stalked each other around a pentagram on the floor.

After a hard fought fight, Mr. Marvelous gained the upper hand and destroyed the Anarchy Championship belt, which seemed to break the curse on Ms. Marvelous for the moment.

Reverend Ronnie was still in the cage, calling for help and realized he was alone to close out the show.

This was a really fun episode and the cinematic match was a great addition for the Halloween weekend and OVW TV 1107 Recap can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next week.
