Kevin Owens is back in NXT for one night, and while he was supposed to only be on the commentary desk, that was never going to happen. Instead, he pulled some strings and now he’s hosting an episode of the KO Show with our NXT North American Champion, Leon Ruff. Ruff has two wins over Johnny Gargano, and has also picked a fight with Damien Priest in a moment of pride. What will happen now that Kevin Owens is going to stir the pot!
Leon Ruff Finds His Confidence
Kevin Owens will never not take an invite back to NXT, and tonight was no exception. His guest tonight, just recently had the best nights of his career. It’s time for more spotlight for the upstart Leon Ruff and his contagious smile. He’d shake hands with Kevin Owens, and was glad to be here.
Owens was already coming back to NXT to do commentary, but he was too impressed by Ruff over the last few weeks. He wants everyone to hear what Ruff has to say, and used his pull to get Ruff this time. Ruff has been trying to get into WWE for years, and only signed his deal 7 weeks ago, yet he’s already a champion.
They’d watch some footage of what went down after the title win, him almost tripping over the belt. Ruff was embarrassed by this, but Owens said the same thing happened to him. Owens would ask what it felt like to win that title, and it was a yes for every no that Ruff ever got. A message to everyone who doubted him, and he’s accomplished a lot to prove them wrong already.
Ruff wanted to show people to never give up, but Owens says he needs more conviction in his voice. If anyone sees weakness, they’ll attack. He’s Leon Ruff, the North American Champion, where is the confidence! Ruff would hype up, but he said Johnny Gargano’s name. On the KO show, if you say someone’s name they hit the ring.
The Match Is Set
Storming to the ring, Gargano would claim Ruff never beat him, and ask if this was a prank show. Gargano hit the ring, and KO got him a chair, because he’s a good host, but it was thrown away, so KO got him another. The second chair wasn’t for him, just for a hunch KO had.
Gargano wanted Ruff to say that the only reason he’s champion is because of Priest. The KO rule applies again, and here comes Priest. Gargano was just getting more and more annoyed, while Priest says that Gargano’s reality is that Ruff is better. KO asked if he wanted the chair, but Priest is good, and KO wonders why he gets all these chairs.
Ruff would then be shoved into a chair after Gargano called for another match, and Priest wanted a rematch as well. Last week, Ruff challenged both men, and that sounds like a Triple Threat. KO would call for someone to make that match, and here comes William Regal! Maybe he wants a chair.
In two weeks at NXT Takeover: War Games, Leon Ruff defends in a triple threat match, and Regal leaves as fast as he came. He did say hi to KO before leaving though. Can Ruff defend at War Games? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
