WWE Smackdown Results returned as Otis was helped to the back and Dolph Zigger and Robert Roode came out.
Ziggler started off by talking about Otis just waking up from his Thanksgiving meal only to be knocked back into hibernation for his long winter’s nap.
Roode told him to give Otis a break because he has a lot on his plate like in catering.
Ziggler said it was enough time wasted on dumb jokes and challenged the Street Profits for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships.
The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) came out to respond with Dawkins telling them it’s not cool to impersonate them.
Ford went on how they were busy in the ring with the best of the best — the New Day.
Ford then said how they’re kicking off Smackdown with Robert Roode and HBK, and Dawkins told him it’s not HBK; it’s Ziggler.
They continued with insulting Roode, and Ford told them they want the smoke.
Looks like we have a match, but not for the titles yet.
The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) vs. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode)
Ziggler and Dawkins started it off, and Dawkins slapped on an early headlock, and Ford hit with a dropkick.
Roode came in and was hit with a double face plant, and was then clotheslined over the top rope by Dawkins.
Ziggler did the same to Dawkins right afterwards, then went for a suicide dive but Dawkins hit him with a right hand.
Ford climbed to the top rope, but Ziggler rolled out of the way of a Cash Out as we headed to commercial.
Surprise finish
We returned with Ziggler in control and hitting Ford with a dropkick. Roode then threw Ziggler into Ford for a splash in the corner and Roode followed it with a backbreaker for a near pinfall.
Roode kept the pressure on and continued to work on Ford’s back and locked in an abdominal stretch with a couple of elbows to Ford’s midsection.
Ford managed to break the hold with a hip toss, but Ziggler hit with a Famouser for a pin attempt that Dawkins broke up.
Ziggler trashed talked, and Ford nearly fought his way out of their corner before Ziggler hit with a knee and threw Ford into the corner.
Ford ducked as Ziggler leaped at him, and Ziggler hit the turnbuckle face first.
Dawkins came in and hit Roode with a couple of clotheslines and a spinning reverse elbow before face planting Ziggler.
Dawkins then hit a suplex throw on Roode and hit a pair of splashes on Ziggler and Roode.
Dawkins then hit s bulldog on Roode and a double underhook spinning neckbreaker on Ziggler.
Roode hit with a double boot, but Dawkins hit him with an Anointment, and Ford hit a Cash Out for a near pin that Ziggler saved.
Ziggler hit Dawkins with a superkick, but Ford countered another superkick with a step up kick that sent Ziggler to the floor.
Roode then rolled up Ford for the pin to get a future shot at the tag titles.
Ford was furious with himself in the ring, and WWE Smackdown Results expects it should be a fun championship match when it happens.
