Impact Wrestling Preview loves how the Go Home episode to Final Resolution this Saturday has ben getting more exciting by the day, with the biggest bombshell dropping on last week’s AEW Dynamite: Winter if Coming.
In a championship match many of us were looking forward to, Kenny Omega defeated Jon Moxley with the help of Impact Wrestling commentator Don Callis.
It was a curious site for many of us to see, but it was also an awesome thing as Omega and Callis ran out of the stadium and took off.
Callis’ last words were that Omega will let everyone know what’s happening tonight on Impact Wrestling.
While this has been called a screwjob and has some fans upset, the really cool part is that it’s only the tip of the iceberg.
Partnership
Shortly after the events, it was reported that AEW and Impact Wrestling had reached a partnership agreement.
This could be many things, and we’ve said before that AEW, Impact, OVW, and NJPW seem to be forming a system similar to the old territory system that was in place prior to the WWE near monopoly.
There are plenty of things this could mean, but for wrestling fans it’s a sign that the WWE is going to be facing a untied front if they seek to wipe them out like they allegedly did to WCW (WCW didn’t need that much help in the end).
But more than that, this will help the fans and wrestlers.
Just like when WCW was going strong and the Monday Night Wars brought wrestling into the mainstream, it gave us so much to partake in that we couldn’t help but find something fun to watch.
It’ll also mean that wrestlers could have another avenue to travel and it’ll probably lead to higher salaries for wrestlers and other staff members.
More to come?
In the end, it shouldn’t be about destroy each other but allowing the business to flourish.
We’ll get a glimpse of what’s going to be coming our way when Kenny Omega, an executive vice president of All Elite Wrestling, speaks tonight.
To go hand in hand with that is a lowkey rumor/belief that AEW owner Tony Kahn will purchase Impact and merge them.
While we hope that’s not the case as Impact Wrestling Preview thinks a partnership would be more beneficial, it’s definitely going to be interesting to see what’s going to happen.
What do you think Omega will say tonight? Let us know in the comments below.
