Impact Wrestling Preview loves the tag divisions, and we’re especially excited to see the Knockouts Tag Team Championships return and the tournament’s been fun to watch.
Tonight, we’re concluding round one with a sure to be hard hitting affair as Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary face off with Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee.
With three of the competitors being previous or current Knockouts Champion, it’s easy to see either team add the Knockouts tag titles to their resume and this is going to make it more exciting to watch.
Rosemary and Valkyrie have been on a tear since returning from Wrestle House, and since Rosemary lost John E. Bravo’s virginal blood, we expect her to be even more vicious.
While we have to admit they’re tied as our favorites to win the Knockouts tag titles, we can’t ignore Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee.
Not only is Purrazzo the current Knockouts Champion, but she’s one of the best performers in the world. She’s a master at ring psychology and submission maneuvers, though we don’t see Valkyrie of Rosemary submitting to anything.
Lee is a solid performer that’s been improving by leaps and bounds each week and keeps us guessing what she’ll do next.
Things are aligned for a great match, and now that Purrazzo has made a deal with Father James Mitchell to remove Su Yung, the sky’s the limit.
Or is it? Mitchell hasn’t told her what his price for helping her is, and if she refuses to pay could he release Su Yung and allow her to wreak havoc tonight?
Impact Wrestling Preview can’t wait to see how this one turns out.
Josh Alexander (w/Ethan Page) vs Chris Sabin (w/Alex Shelley)
Since they jumped the Motor City Machine Guns at Bound For Glory to win back the tag team belts, The North have been through some highs and lows as they lost the titles to the Good Brothers.
But during that attack, Josh Alexander hit a Tiger piledrive on the stage and put Alex Shelly out of action for two months. Now, Chris Sabin will face Alexander to get even for what he did to Shelley.
This will have some potential implications going forward as Ethan Page will face Karl Anderson at Final Resolution to get a rematch with the Good Brothers for the tag team titles.
Given that the MCMG had a contractual rematch clause they couldn’t activate due to Shelley’s injury could mean they’ll be able to throw their hat in the ring for the tag titles.
These are the kinds of problems Impact Wrestling Preview loves. Great drama and great matches. It should be a good one tonight. Which match are you looking forward to?
